My family stayed one night while in Bryson City to ride the Polar Express. This motel is so charming. If you are looking for upscale, chain type hotel this isn't for you. This motel is American family owned. Rooms are very clean. Our rooms were on the river with a wonderful view. Would be great in summer with the outdoor... More

The motel is obviously a little dated, but the rooms were clean and the beds and sheets/comforters looked new. The staff was very friendly! The location was excellent, right on the river, and very close to Bryson City, which is an adorable place to visit.

I was very pleased with this place! I liked the atmosphere and grounds outside. This family has gone to great lengths to make sure this place is somewhere people LIKE to stay. There was never any kind of noise or anything that kept us from resting and relaxing when we were in our room. My wife is a very light... More

My family and I stayed here just one night but I could have stayed here much longer. Gone are the Inns that are family owned and operated. This place fit just the ticket. Our room was very clean, as well as very close to the beautiful rivers that flow behind. If you look during certain times of the day, you'll... More

We only stayed 1 night, but we were pleased with our room, it was very clean and comfortable. If you're looking for 5 star luxury, this is not the place. If you want clean, comfortable, affordable with great river views, then this is the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back to stay again. (Stayed... More

If you are a biker this is the place to stay . That is not to say they only cater to bikers, but the place is perfect . My wife and I stay there this past September during wings over the smokes. There was about 12 couples staying there. The fire pit what was going every night down by the... More

do you remember the motels along the old two lane highways. Here it is. Friendly owners and very clean but don't think you are at the Ritz. There was an extension cord on the night stand to charge your phone( I had to laugh) but let's face it, there were no cellphone iPads etc back when those motels were popular.... More

Not so much a charming retro motor court, as some have suggested, but a place that's grown pretty long in the tooth. The price may be reasonable, the river out back is beautiful, and the place is clean - but I'd rather pay $10 or $20 more for newer beds and furniture that doesn't look like it came from a... More

This was a homey place--reminiscent of the motor lodges I stayed in while on family road trips in the 70's. The location is lovely, right next to the river and an easy drive to both Bryson City and Cherokee. The pool was a great addition to cool down after a hot summer's day tripping through the area. The family room... More

OK first let's put to bed what this motel isn't. It's not an Embassy Suites. It's not even a Days Inn. It is in fact a mom-and-pop, by the side of the road, 1950's motel. Except, you get a flat screen TV, a microwave & fridge, & AC (which you certainly didnt get in the 50's). You also get a... More
