Cozy and quaint inn where we were treated more like special guests than just the average travelers. Taking advantage of the serene surroundings, delicious breakfast with french pressed coffee and the afternoon "wine and cheese" only enhanced the relaxing atmosphere. Felt like we were in a small European Inn! The best stone massage ever! Soft sheets, rain on the tin... More

Loved Lakeview at Fontana. Perfect for a solo retreat (which I did) or for a getaway with loved ones. Highlights for me: wonderful yoga classes; relaxing spa appointments (I recommend both the bamboo massage and the hot stone); gorgeous view from my patio; comfy bed; wine and cheese in the evening; French-pressed coffee in the morning. Guests can hang out... More

Lakeview is what other boutique hotels aspire to be. I love everything about it. From the included breakfast in the morning (french press coffees, tea, yogurt, local granola, nuts, pastries, fruit) to the afternoon wine & hors d'oeuvres. The setting is idyllic. Quiet & lovely. I debated posting a review because I don't want it to get so popular that... More

Not actually on Fontana Lake but a short walk on the property for views overlooking. Very rustic setting outside Bryson City. Older buildings set in an eclectic arrangement on the property. Older but very spacious, clean and well maintained. Our room consisted of a living room, dining area, full kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. The hotel's breakfast room is quaint,... More

We chose this resort based on the many great reviews here on Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint! We checked in during happy hour and were immediately shown around the grounds and led to the cafe where there was a beautiful spread of complimentary wine cheese and snacks. We drew Unit 1, part of a duplex. Our two bedroom suite... More

I discovered L@F four years ago via spafinder, when looking for a place to ring in my 40th birthday with my best friend, also turning 40 that week in late October. We were blown away by the hospitality, the peaceful ambiance, and the amazing views. We returned this year, and were relieved to find that little had changed. It is... More

We really enjoyed our for 5 day stay. The place is originally from the 1950's & they have renovated the property to look like a Mediterranean village. It is conveniently located off the highway a very short drive up into the mountain. The place is so quaint & the staff is exceptional. Our #18 king pet friendly bungalow was at... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Lakeview at Fontana recently. This was my first trip to the North Carolina mountains. We arrived early however we were able to check in to our rooms and prepare for the first of three massages during our weekend getaway. Our unit was a two bedroom cottage; it was very clean and quaint. The... More

This is an old, outdated hotel that's had a facelift...it's lovely and charming with exceptional landscaping. That said, it's still stuck in the 50's. The rooms are small and clean with nothing extra. The air conditioners are window units (loud, hard to talk over them), the bathroom is tiny with old fixtures and hardly any water pressure, the kitchen is... More

I had the good fortune of staying at Lakeview at Fontana for three nights recently, and can't say enough about the charm of this gem. The staff accommodate your every need, the bed was oh-so-comfy, and there's breakfast and a wine & cheese hour every evening! It's not ultra modern, and wifi is iffy beyond the cafe, but it was...
