We stayed back in 2013 on the 4th of July. After checking into the room, we noticed that the air conditioning did not work. It was after hours and no one remains on duty to call. Seeing as it was very hot, we could not stay and had to call the emergency number to get someone to approve our early... More

Stayed one night while backpacking the AT. Sucks that was 1.8 miles from NOC and only restaurant. No laundry facility. Was quiet. Showers good. Small TVs. 9 room motel was very basic. Clean enough but would not go,back unless only choice in town- which it was.

The location is great as you are close to the Nantahala Outdoor Center. The room could have been cleaner. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced. The beds were okay but the linens and towels could definitely be replaced. For what it is, it's okay no luxury here.

I would have to give this place an "poor" rating based on "all things considered". The inn was super nice and very "cabiny". It was secluded and back up a steep hill nestled in the woods. The room was very clean and had a nice smell. However, it was July and we found that the air unit was out and... More

Fridge is loud enough to be heard outside of room & runs all night becuase seals don't seal. Spotty cell phone coverage (no phones in room & facility is isolated). Towels, blankets & sheets are old enough not to be their original color. Better values in Bryson City, Would be ok for $50/night but $80+ is over-priced.

Stayed here for 4 nights while kayaking at Nantahala Outdoor Center. Rooms are clean and comfortable, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and TV in each room. It served its purpose, nothing fancy so don't expect a 5 star experience. If you're here for outdoor activities, you won't spend much time in the room anyway. No on site staff except for cleaning... I thought it was awesome, you are off by yourself unless you call someone from the NOC. The porch was great for the family to hang out on in rocking chairs. There was real wood throughout the place. Inside was clean and comfortable. Everybody was worried because of the reviews read before hand, but something must have chaged since the... More

This was one of our best vacations ever! We rented a room with a whirlpool tub in the lodge. There were great views from the room, restaurant and porch and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the restaurant. During our entire stay we ate at the lodge because the food was wonderful, the service was great and the... More

My husband and I booked this resort so that we could take our three young children (2, 5, 6) to the Polar Express train ride out of Bryson City. We booked a two bedroom treehouse cottage/cabin in early spring, as the holidays tend to book up in the mountains. First of all, let me say, that the cabin really had... More

My friend and I made reservations well in advance to participate in a grou[ activity. Others in the group stayed in cabins or also at the inn. We were assigned a room wedged between the laundry service and human resources in a completely different building from the rest of our group. We didn't have satellite TV or porches with rocking...
