I would not recommend this hotel if you're a light sleeper. The walls a very thin. I could hear everything my neighbors were doing and saying even with TV on. The rates were good but the noise overrides the price. I wouldn't stay here again.

We booked online for 2 nights. BIG MISTAKE! ! The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. But who can sleep when you can CLEARLY HEAR EVERYTHING in rooms on either side. There were dogs barking, people hanging out in front of the rooms smoking and talking loudly until midnight or later both nights! Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND- unless you... More

You want amenities, art deco design, flat screen t.v.'s, etc. keep driving. You want a quiet place to stay with a comfortable bed for cheap, this is your place. Stayed here on a Cherokee weekend because everything was sold out. Glad I did. About a 10 minute easy drive to the casino. Try it out.

I really have no Complaints considering I only paid $55. The owners were nice and courteous. The room was out dated and old fashioned. But my shower was hot and the linens were clean. They have real metal keys to open the doors which had me laughing.

We stayed in the King Bed room and there was little room to move around as there was a lot of furniture in the room. Accommodations were great though and staff was both helpful in finding the falls nearby and delightful.

The hotel was well priced and not far from downtown Bryson City and the train depot. The room desperately needed updating and better ventilation -- it had a very strong smell of room deodorizer. There was a nice view of the mountains from the porch and the rooms were quiet.

The location was great and the staff was courteous and helpful. The room was cramped and filled with older, bulky furniture. The bathroom was roomy, but did not have shelves or countertops to put your personal items on. There was also a high step up into the bathroom that I tripped on the first time I went to look in.... My son and I spent one night at the Ridge Top motel. Main reason was price. It is 10 miles from Harrah's Casino and very easy to get to. The motel is old but it was clean and served our purpose good. I would stay there again.

We had a 4-night stay a couple of weeks ago. We look for a pet-friendly/location/good rate combo when we travel. We did see and consider the comments from skippersmama and adventuresofmom below, but decided to try Ridge Top anyway. As it turns out, we have no regrets and we would stay there again. It is quite true that the rooms... More
