The Nantahala River Lodge is the absolutely perfect mountain retreat! My family travels extensively all over the world staying in various styles of accommodations, from private homes and cabins, tents, ranches and every luxury brand hotel out there. Our best experiences are always the ones in which the accommodation fits the surroundings and atmosphere of the given location. Of course... More

We have been enjoying this spectacular, private, river retreat since we discovered it several years ago while fishing just steps away on the Nantahala River. This spacious lodge home is expertly crafted with beautiful wood and stone throughout. Even the shower walls and floors are covered with natural stone. With some personal pieces of family history, it is obvious that... More

We stayed at this lodge for our first trip to the Smokies. The lodge is very nice and has everything thought of down to the last detail. The biggest appeal is the creek within a few feet of the lodge itself. It is very well taken care of and the woodwork is gorgeous. If I have any negatives it would... More

This mountain retreat has it all. The location has beautiful woods, trails and the stream which makes its prescence known by its never ending streaming over rocks. Everything is there, from chairs, grills, and even a site for a campfire. The lodge is breathtaking, clean with a modern kitchen, washer & dryer, and stone covered baths. The workmanship is outstanding... More

The River Lodge is truly a masterpiece. The location alone would be enough to make this home special. However, the location on the banks of this beautiful mountain stream melds perfectly with the home. The level of craftsmanship and the obvious intense dedication to finding a harmonious design combine to create the perfect mountain home.

There's only one word for this place...spectacular. The house is magnificent, the grounds are lovely, and the location is perfect, right on the river. There's a fishing hole right behind the house. The owners have thought of everything. If there's something that you wonder how to work, they've left a note with instructions. Need firewood? It's in the bucket next... More

We stayed here with 4 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of space! The kids loved the bunkbeds! The cabin is right on the Nantahala river and its just beautiful.
