Check-in for my two-night stay was smooth and the room was quiet. Unfortunately, the room had not been well cleaned. I discovered long blond hair on the bathroom floor and on the sheets; small blood stain on the wall of the bathroom; very dusty/grimy grate on the ceiling over the bathroom sink; sizable stain on the bedspread; etc. Staff was... more

I was a little worried when I saw several buses of children and a couple of big groups arrive. Usually this means lack of service (especially during breakfast). This was just an excellent experience. Great, comfy rooms. Pretty view. Good location. Plenty of breakfast items on hand. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Boone!!! more

We stayed in room 400. This was a King room with a jacuzzi and fireplace. It was so cozy and spacious. It had a big bar and fridge. It had sitting at the bar and had a sleeper sofa in the living room. This room would be good if you had a kid or two because it was spacious. The... more

This was our second stay at this hotel and once again it was excellent. The staff were super friendly despite having to work during Christmas week. Our room was spacious and well maintained and we appreciated the working wireless internet after experiences at other hotels. Breakfast was good for a self serve operation and there was adequate seating in the... more

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel during some business meetings in the area. Location wise was good for us - shops and restaurants within walking distance. However, the main road has no pedestrian crossings. Be careful with the kids. As we had a couple of informal meetings with another family during our stay, it was nice to... more

Very nice room, 2 Qn beds with a small balcony. HUGE bathroom, all four of us could fit in at one time, big deal for an Express. Very clean room. Nice outdoor pool area, but pool was not heated as advertised. Across street from several very good restaurant choices. Close to Tweetsie Railroad. more

We booked our stay at this hotel online about two months in advance of our stay. When we arrived at the hotel, our room was ready. We wanted to switch from paying with credit card to using Priority Club reward points. The desk clerks were most accomodating in helping us with this. Due to HIE's policies, this had to be... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Boone, NC. on 6-19-08 while traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I always find the Holiday Inn Express hotels to be very clean & comfortable and worth a slightly higher price than some other hotels (although I get a discounted rate for internet reservations). The only complaint I can share this time... more

The hotel staff was pleasant but the accomodations weren't as nice as we expected. We had read several positive reviews and this is why we chose to stay here. However, the beds were quite uncomfortable and the room smelled like mildew. My daughter and I had a terrible time with our allergies and hardly slept all evening. Everything else seemed... more
