Dog leash problems here. Dogs fighting , barking Waking you up early . Had one try to get in my RV . 2 or 3 dogs per site. If your not a dog lover don't come here. Very Disappointed With Flintlock Campground..

Third time here and really enjoy the sites by the creek which meanders through the campground. Great for sleeping! Convenient to most attractions in the Boone/Blowing Rock area. Rates are good, bathhouse clean, sites have a fire ring.

We recently stayed here when our daughter had a soccer tournament in Boone. We were lucky enough to be offered a site right next to the little rapids in the water because the scheduled reservation had canceled. The staff were extremely helpful, even let us borrow an extension cord. The bathhouse was very clean and kept well stocked. We overall... More

We had a campsite right next to the river which was nice. The kids loved wadding in the river and trying to find stuff. The bath house was good...clean...really no complaints. Probably the only thing I didn't enjoy was that the campsites were very close together. But I guess if you are in between two RVs...those are your "walls" as... More

Spent one night at tent spot. Had a water spigot. single power outlet, and a picnic table. All were OK. Tent spot was right on creek, so that was nice. Shower and toilets were clean. Camper next door had a pervasive barking dog. After I barked back (loudly), bark for bark, the "owner" figured out how to stop the barking.... More

My husband and I stayed one night in a tent camping site. We arrived after dark and after the owners had left. We called ahead and they left directions to our site on the door. We were very pleased with our spot and the cleanliness of the bath house. Beautiful scenery! It is loud being next to the highway and... More

This is a campground for extended RV camping not for travelers passing through. The cabins and tent/popup campers may have more turnover. I felt as if I was in a trailor park. However, front desk, obviously staffed by the extended campers, was always polite and helpful.

Cabins are basic, 1 double bed and a set of bunk beds. They rent for about $55/night, which is well worth it especially during bad weather. We reserved our cabin about 4 weeks in advance but the couple in the cabin next to us called 2 days before arrival and was able to reserve one. If you're able to get... More

We had a great weekend with my husband and son staying in one of the cabins. This was our first foray into "camping" of sorts for a while so we came prepared. The cabins were wonderful and I was glad that my husband insisted on booking it instead of us tent camping. The day we arrived, it was rainy all... More

Park in nice condition, but creek side spots tight. Had Tent Camper in the RV section next to us blasting Music until 330 am. I called Office leaving a voicemail around 230 am, with the loud Music in the background. Girlfriend stopped in Office in the Morning to complain and was told I will make a note of that. No... More
