Our family of eight stayed for an extended time over the summer at the Boone KOA while we were looking for our home. With children ranging in age from 3 to 16, this was the perfect place to be! The facilities are excellent and are maintained and cleaned conscientiously. There is a lovely playground, open fields, nearby farm animals for... More

We stayed at the KOA in Boone 10/18 and 10/19/2014, the campground was book solid when I called for reservations. However, we were able to get tent reservations at site f11 at the end of a row with great views of the mountains. The bath house was very close by which was wonderful with us being in a tent. The... Spent a rainy night in cabin #2. As stated, it would sleep 4 with one double bed and a set of bunk beds. There was a small space heater (that we used), and extra power outlets. Like Flintlock, internet was a joke. Not a big deal for us, but if your addicted to the web...... Outside had a table, a... More

This KOA has a very helpful staff. It has the usual amenities most people come to expect at koa 's . It is ,as billed ,at the top of mtn on hill side and they have tried to make the side level but there limits. the interior rods are not paved and only one of two bathouses had showers. It was... If you are looking for a quite retreat this is not the place for you. If you are a family looking for a nice campground this is the place! The RV/Camper sites are on the side of a hill so you will get some excerise going up and down to the showers. The sites could use some grating to level... More

Loved that it was high up in the mountains. Other than that it was pretty bad. The gravel spots were very unlevel. The camp roads were on a hill and very rutted. Aweful to drive through. The camp was noisy for only a few people being there. No quite time enforced. I would not stay here again.

My family and I just stayed here for the weekend in a pop-up. We stayed in section B. Great time!! Weather was great. Fall leaves beautiful. The campground is clean. Tons of leaves though. Will bring blower next time. The bath houses are clean and updated. Only 3 shower stalls though. Had to wait in line. Campground was full so... More

It has all the requirements to be called a KOA, but needs a fair amount of work. Even allowing for all of the rain this year, the sites are no where near level and in desperate need of some landscaping. Don't believe them when they say the pool is heated!! It may have a heater, but the water is nowhere... More

We stayed in a 35 ft motor home for a month. In spite of the rain we had a wonderful time. Staff kept up with the problems caused by the rain. The campground is near many hiking trails. Staff was helpful with any questions about the area. Campground is very quiet.
