This was our third summer at Honey Bear Campground. The stay there was great this time just as it has been in the past. Our site is perfect for us and we have already booked for next summer (2015). The owners, as well as there staff are always very helpful and striving to make your stay as enjoyable as you... More

My family and I recently spent 3 nights at Honey Bear. It is tucked into the side of a mountain, so some of roads are a bit steep, but being on the side of a mountain makes it unique and beautiful. Our kids, ages 6 & 9, had a lot of fun. There were a lot of other kids that... More

Out of town put us on a hill facing down on the driveway. Plus I was too long for the site they should have told me!! Told us that there was cable. You need a cable box to have cable. How can I install a cable box in my motorhome when its built in. Could not put awning out it... More

We spent an unplanned night here and were so appreciative of the staff's enthusiasm and help in accommodating us . The general appearance of the place is lovely and some sites are near woodsy perfection. Others are gravel slips carved out of the mountainside which made me wonder about the stability of the dirt and a mudslide. The electric hookup... More

We have stayed here twice this season and enjoyed it immensely both times. We have a small hybrid trailer and have stayed in two different spots. The staff is very friendly and I have been comfortable with the kids playing around the campground. It has a very "nature" feel to it - the campsites are fairly wooded and not like... More

We found HBC to be a terrific place to camp. Beautiful setting, fun activities for kids and families, nice wooded sites and close proximity to Boone, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. We had a lot of fun with the many kids activities, crafts, free rootbeer floats, movie night under the stars and more. Lots of area to explore... More

Will not return. Have been there several times but the last 2 were terrible. We rented a cabin last October and the stove/oven was out of propane because apparently nobody checked it before we arrived. We were told the earliest a fill could be done would be the following Monday...after we would be long gone. So we had to make... More

An AWESOME campground! Very relaxing and beautiful! The grounds are kept nicely. The streAm trickling in the background was a bonus. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Very kid friendly! I will return for a longer stay next time.

I made a reservation on-line to obtain a tent campsite at homey bear. The process was easy and I received the confirmation quickly. The next day, the person I am camping with called and indicated there was a problem with the reservation. They had moved our campsite to the other side of the camp or to another site (undertermined) which... More

Dear Sir, I am very sorry to hear of your experience with our campground however, I do stand by our staff and their suggestion this campground may not be the best fit for you. In the conversations we had with you as well as your traveling companion looking to camp near you, it was insisted upon that you wanted to... More

We have been RVing in North Carolina for the last four years and our trips always include stays at Honey Bear Campground. The length of our stay has grown increasingly longer, from one week up to four months, so it is clear that we really enjoy Honey Bear! The setting is beautiful with lots of trees and a pretty mountain... More
