The room was exceptionally clean and was conveniently located within walking distance of all of the downtown shops & restaurants. It was quiet and also very affordable. The bedding was surprisingly luxurious and soft. I slept well on the mattress - it was not overly firm or soft. Around the sink, the bathroom was beautiful tiled with small oblong tiles... More

Went to blowing rock in October to see the leaves change. If you go to blowing rock this time of year reserve your room a month a head of time. All the hotels were booked up. We got lucky and they had a room available. The place is a mom and pop operation. Room are updated, flat screen tv, king... More

The room was very clean and quite pretty. The king size bed was really comfortable and the large ceiling fan was all we needed to stay cool on a rainy night! The bathroom was quite nice-clean and spacious,as well. The rocking chairs on the porch were a very nice feature. The Boxwood is within walking distance from restaurants and gift... More

We stayed at Boxwood lodge for a night and had a great experience. The room was clean and modern. Only downside was no breakfast but we went to a local coffee bar in the morning. The lodge is within walking distance of shops and restaurants downtown.

I had a meeting to attend in Blowing Rock, and stayed at the Boxwood overnight. The room was clean, attractive and comfortable. The price was considerably lower than the inn next door. My room, 104, had a comfortable king size bed with plenty of pillows, a desk, good lighting, a flat screen TVs mounted on the wall, and even a... More

We stayed at the Boxwood based on the reviews we read and we were not disappointed. The lodge is located within convenient walking distance to downtown shopping and so quiet we thought we were alone in our own building. Our room was very clean and well kept. The owners are friendly, helpful and gracious. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here... More

My wife and I have been staying with Phillip and Emma Pickett, owners of the Boxwood Lodge, for over fifteen years. Blowing Rock has always been a favorite place of ours and over the years I have stayed at several small, privately owned hotels that were nice. We had grown rather fond of a fairly large hotel in Blowing Rock... More

We've stayed at Boxwood before but this time we chose an end room in the building that is to the left of the office if you are standing looking at it from Blowing Rock Road. This room was wonderful! It has been updated (rooms in the other building are almost finished being renovated) and the decor is very nice and... More

We just returned from a great weekend getaway. We decided Friday that we would head to Blowing Rock for the weekend and just find a place when we got there. We had driven by several places and went by this place and immediately turned the car around and went in to check it out. Gentleman at the front desk was... More

We just returned from our visit to Boxwood Lodge and we are already looking forward to our return! I loved that they still use real keys to the rooms! The beds were comfy & warm (it was really cold this past weekend!) & the room was a good size. The bathroom/vanity area were a little cramped, but still a lovely... More
