My husband and I met at the Maple Lodge 26 years ago and decided it was where we wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary along with our children and son-in-law. We requested, prior to our arrival, that a cheese and fruit platter and wine be available upon our arrival in the front living room. We also requested that reservations be... more

We last stayed here about four years ago when the Batemens owned it. Our experience was so wonderful we decided to return. The Inn has changed hands and the stay didn't live up to our expectations. We stayed in Dogwood, which was a pleasant room with a separate dressing room, a very small bathroom, but there was an extra basin... more

A very large disappointment. I have never stayed at a b&b where there were no soft drinks available, nor bottled water. There were no blinds on one window, the pillows were hard like rocks and the curtain on one window was torn. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. All in all, it was a very big... more

Maple Lodge Inn is a charming property, located conveniently in Blowing Rock. We were able to walk easily to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfasts are very good. The breakfast room opens onto a little patio with flowers, birdhouses, etc., and was a very nice setting for a good meal. Rooms have window unit air... more

We booked the Maple Lodge because we were looking for a Bed and Breakfast in a walkable area that wasn't too expensive. Friends of ours had stayed there a few years back and had been satisfied. Our room was very nice. We stayed in Hydrangea which is one of the smaller less expensive rooms, but very nicely decorated. It did... more

My wife and I stayed at The Maple Lodge for 3 nights leading up to New Years. It was a last minute trip, and we were lucky enough to book The Rose Room. We had never been to Blowing Rock before, and were pleased to find a small, tranquil town with all the modern conveniences. The Maple Lodge is situated... more

While driving to the inn, we noticed we had been assigned a room for $165 a night. Since we had requested a $95 room we called and asked for a less expensive room. We were told the $95 room was not available. Since the $165 room was outside our budget, we inquired about the cost if we canceled the room.... more

I really think the previous reviewer must be confusing Maple Lodge with another B & B. We stayed there in June as we began our long 3-week trip to the States, up the Appalachians to Washington and then Boston and New England. This was one of 3 B & B's that really stand out in our happy memories of the... more

Our stay at the Maple Lodge Inn started well as we were very happy to see that the property is well located and the common areas are very inviting. Unfortunately that was the extent of anything positive happening for us. The room itself was almost unbelievably small (we knew that we were paying for a small room, but this was... more

What a simply wonderful bed and breakfast in Blowing Rock! Lisa and Hilary are the consummate hostesses, and you couldn't stay in a more ideal location. One block from Main Street, so leave your car at the bed and breakfast and walk around this beautiful mountain town. The property is very tastefully decorated and warm. Two living rooms with plenty... more
