We had a great time staying at blowing rock alehouse and Inn with my parents, our nanny and baby. The staff were friendly, informative about activities and restaurants in the area, and went above and beyond to fix things when there was a minor problem with our room... We really appreciated it! The rooms are spacious, affordable, comfortable, and very... More

I'm somewhat picky about where I stay when traveling. My fiancée and I spent last Friday here. Our room was small compared to a modern room but it was cozy and charming. We both loved it for the price and have already decided to come back. One thing to keep in mind is it is a little loud until closing... More

Overall decent room. Our room was clean, nice central location to walking downtown, and good beer on tap in the bar. For an Inn, it wasn't very homey and welcoming. Check-in consisted of walking into the restaurant and the hostess walking us upstairs opening our room and saying enjoy! All of the information for the place we read for ourselves... More

The Maple Lodge is one of the loveliest B and B that I have seen in my travels. Attention is paid to every detail with the continental breakfast offered in a lovey setting. Right in the heart of Blowing Rock! Service was impeccable with wonderful homemade cookies as an extra bonus. I would go back on a heartbeat!

I would liken Maple Lodge to the Beast's castle in Beauty and the Beast: everything functions smoothly here in this lovely haven in downtown Blowing Rock, but at least while we were there nobody seemed to be actually in charge. Unlike other B&B's where we have stayed, the owners live off premises and have a staff of charming young women... More

Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. What a lovely place to spend the night. Room were spotless and decorated beautifully. One of the rooms had the prettiest canopy bed. Breakfast was well-prepared and delicious. Will definitely return.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect for us, lots of fresh fruit and breads with a hot offering that varied day to day. There were fresh baked cookies and brownies in the afternoon...Yum. The room was comfortable and pretty. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've been in but it didn't slow me down. The bathroom had... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Wildflower Room. Very comfy bed, pretty room, delicious breakfasts. The innkeeper and her helpers were very friendly - Annie gave us especially good advice about hiking nearby. Located in a very central location just a few steps from good restaurants, shops, ice cream, and the pretty town park. Much appreciated, since we were... More

This was the last of 5 bed and breakfasts we had in North Carolina. It was the most expensive and comfortably the worst. There were no nice little touches in the room, for example sachets of shampoo. The shower curtain was mouldy as was the sealant around the bath tub. One of the windows was held shut by 2 pieces... More

We arrived in Blowing rock for Labor Day weekend and checked into the Maple Lodge. The rate was nearly $200 per night. The owner immediately informed us that there was no way we could get dinner in town at a restaurant without a reservation and then proceded to tell us that there were no reservations available. We scoffed at that... More
