We stayed in the Cedar Cottage on our wedding night. The staff added extra touches to make it special. This place is AMAZING! The view, food, accommodations, staff, gardens, just everything is absolutely lovely.

Love the size. Not too many rooms, people on property. Romantic. Quaint. Staff is friendly and helpful. Watch the cancellation policy time table-its 14 days. Be sure to dine in one night. Restaurant is awesome! Chef talented!

Just spent one night. Initially there was a problem with their Wi Fi but the owner and his son came over immediately and fixed it. Everyone was very helpful. Excellent restaurant with attentive, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice selection of wines by the glass. The Sauvignon Blanc and the Malbec were very good. Loved the lamb shank.

Feel like you are visiting an old friend. They make you feel very welcome. The Victoria room had 2 fireplaces one in bedroom as well as the bathroom. Which also had a Japanese soaking tub for your pleasure. The turn down service left a treat of homemade fudge so delicious. Great breakfast of omelette, grits, biscuits and bacon. Nice way... More

We stayed at Gideon Ridge for three nights. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and enjoyed the beautiful views from the gorgeous porch, the delicious food and kind hospitality. However, the room we stayed in - the Carriage Room - was not up to our expectations. The bathroom in particular needed renovation, at least sprucing up, and the bed... More

A wonderful three days. We stayed in Old Master room, which was very large with a dramatic bed and comfortable sitting area. Outside we had our own private terrace, which had far reaching views over the gardens and mountains. The Inn was very clean, our bedding crisp, the bathroom large and well appointed with Aveda products - a nice surprise... More

A perfect place to relax. Gideon Ridge was highly recommended and it lived up to all of its recommendations. Beautiful rooms. Beautifully appointed. Beautiful environment all around. A B&B staff that clearly understands how to take care of guests. And a phenomenal restaurant experience. Just on the outskirts of Blowing Rock so it is quick and easy to get to... More

The area in which the Inn is locate is beautiful. That is where the enjoyable time ended. The room (cottage) was out dated 90's furniture. Worn, dirty, falling apart. The (cottage) was attached to some ones house who was hammering all day. Not at all worth the money. Skip this place. We where staying there and could not get dinner... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights for our 10th wedding anniversary! It was beautiful! We stayed in the Sunrise View, which has it's own entry, not through the house, and it's own porch with lounge chairs! There is a gas stove, which is so warm and cozy, in the living area where you can watch tv and... More

This trip was absolutely perfect. We arrived right as afternoon tea started and were blown away by the facility. Our room was wonderful, the building is gorgeous, lots of neat little touches everywhere (it really takes some time to notice everything). The grounds were just starting to pop with spring so it really made a great late afternoon. Our intention... More
