My new husband and I stayed at Gideon Ridge Inn for 3 nights while on our mini honeymoon. The inn itself is very charming and beautifully decorated. Our room (we stayed in the Grandfather View suite) was delightful. It was cozy, romantic and had a spectacular view. We had a large soaking tub with an adjacent fireplace, and a huge... More

We've had two getaways here, as we live locally, and we love our respite from "real life," at the Gideon Ridge Inn. We always feel welcomed and taken care of. The restaurant is lovely, and I like the inn because it feels like someone's house, rather than a commercial venture.

Had a wonderful get away with my wife for our 20th anniversary. We loved the sunrise room and the great atmosphere. The lodge is off the beaten path, but very convenient to restaurants, shopping, and downtown Blowing Rock.

We spent the most time at this B&B during our Blue Ridge Parkway roadtrip. I got to see some of the other rooms that weren't booked. The rooms were all unique and gorgeous. We spent some time in the common rooms that were all upscale. Doesn't feel like a converted house but more an old small lodge. The sunrise is... More

Our second stay here at GR. Both times we've chosen the Sunset View suite which is tucked away at the end of the inn with it's own private balcony with a nice seating area and a wonderful seating area with a gas fireplace with large picture windows (which you can slide open) overlooking the blue ridge...you can see FOREVER! Both... More

We have been staying at B&Bs for years, many which are part of the B&B Select Registry. This would be at the top of our best list. We stayed in the Colonial Suite. Decor was top notch, no TV in room, wonderful for relaxing & forgetting about our everyday busy life. Private patio was a perk plus. Breakfast was delightful... More

You will fall in love with this beautiful Inn. A perfect experience from arrival to departure. We stayed in Grandfather suite which is large with lovely views of the mountains. There is a nice soaking tub near the fireplace as well as a very large double shower. A wonderful place to relax and read. Breakfast offers several choices with everything... More

We enjoyed our stay at Gideon Ridge very much. All of the staff members were very helpful and friendly. One tall male staff member (Andrew?) was particularly helpful to us and went out of his way to honor several requests we made. He even let us have a copy of the delicious scone recipe! Our room was very comfortable and... More

The rustic, yet infinitely cozy and romantic, Gideon Ridge Inn is not only high above the magical Blue Ridge Mountains but it's as near to heaven as a place can be. From big comfy couches and soft easy chairs to sit and sip tea, to perfect outdoor spots in which watch the sun set or rise on the infinite mountain... More

We went there for a two day mini-honeymoon after our wedding. The whole experience was fabulous. There is tea time everyday with delicious finger foods. The breakfasts are huge, delicious, and changes each day. You can see the entire valley from the deck, and with leaves changing color the sight is stunning. At breakfast they take your name and clean... More
