The inn was amazing the room was large and everything was absolutely wonderful. Comfortable beds, in-room fireplace and jacuzzi, the atmosphere of the inn was so peaceful. The town of Blowing Rock has so many neat things to see and do. But the views from the inn really stole the show. Breathtaking! I would definitely go back, anytime, but mid... more

We stayed in the Colonial Room which to us seemed oddly arranged but which was otherwise comfortable. The gas fireplace took the chill off the dreary weather but the chairs were too large to pull over in front of it. It rained the entire two days we were there; it was what the innkeepers called 'shockingly raw" weather. There were... more

Our weekend stay at the Gideon Ridge Inn was our first. Everything, and I mean everything, was outstanding. The staff was incredible, efficient, personable, and anticipated our needs. The surroundings and view were spectacular.....autumn foliage in its splendor. The inn was warm, comfortable, and charming. Our dining at the G Restaurant, was superb......some of the finest food we've experienced. Breakfast... more

Luxurious yet not pretentious, lovely but not overdone, comfortable, inviting, delightful...a true treat entirely! The views were magnificent (when the fog lifted...ours were obscured significantly due to bad weather and fog over the weekend.) The afternoon tea was... more

This is a great little Inn. It's easy. It's comfortable. No gratis snotty know-it-all recommendations about "must-see" local stuff. If, however, you're curious about anything within 50 miles of Blowing Rock, Mr. or Mrs Milner will provide accurate information. The food is first rate. Really first rate. Mr. Milner also runs one of the few non-tourist-trap restaurants in Blowing Rock... more

We've been staying at Gideon Ridge for about 10 years now on our trips down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Since we stay at the Park facilities for all the rest of the trip, Gideon is always the one or two nights when we can eat and sleep in luxurious comfort. It is always quiet, always clean, always comfortable ~ and... more
