My husband and I spent a long weekend here aftee our wedding and it was a perfect getaway. It rained the whole weekend and we still loved every minute. A must is a reservation at the restaurant. The food and wine were spectacylar. You must try some of their port wines.

We have never stayed in a hotel or Inn where the staff was more delightful or attentive. We were greeted at the door by Megan, our Innkeeper, who spent every moment of our visit making us feel welcome. She not only has a pleasant demeanor, but an amazing eye for detail whether it be opening a door for someone or... More

This is a spectacular property in a dramatic setting outside Blowing Rock, a Blue Ridge Mountains highlight. The building is historic and charming; ready for an update and some maintenance, but clean and well cared-for. For our visit, the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating.

We had such a wonderful anniversary stay in this gorgeous inn. It is very close to the village of blowing rock and an ideal base for hiking at grandfather mountain. The views are incredible, especially from out room, the sunrise view. Outdoor eating at the restaurant is magnificent and the best meal in Blowing Rock. Added bonus is that two... More

We stayed for a couple of nights as part of a longer trip. The Inn was quite hard to find as we don't do SatNav and there was no signposting on the main road, which has roadworks under way. The staff were friendly and welcoming (though obviously new). The library and both internal and exterior dining areas were very attractive.... More

The views were fabulous. The Cedar Cottage was very private and comfortable. There was a private deck off the suite which was surrounded by foliage. Afternoon tea was lovely on the back patio. We enjoyed walking through the back garden.

We enjoyed our stay very much. All the staff were helpful and friendly. There were wonderful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains right from the front of the Inn. The food was very good. The Inn was situated on a ridge for great breezes in early June. We would recomend this Inn for a relaxing get away.

Beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, private, secluded location – what a way to feel like royalty. The decor was tasteful, full of antiques. The service was attentive. Small Inn feeling but with a terrific restaurant. I love this place!

A short 2 hour drive to Gideon Ridge brought both a happy return visit, and a sense of refreshment. Mountain air; inspiring vistas; hospitable innkeepers and staff -- together with really memorable food -- combined to give us a week's vacation in a short weekend!

This property was built as a retreat and Cobb and Carol have adopted the purpose and staffed the inn to fulfill it. Staff was lovely, attentive and respectful. We felt relaxed immediately. Breakfast was well done, the room was charming and the vistas were dramatic. The other guests appeared equally at home. Restaurant was a delight. Food excellent, presentation of... More
