I was in Blowing Rock, North Carolina for a wedding and stayed at the Gideon Ridge Inn. I had stayed here 25 years ago and knew that it was a B&B on a lovely piece of property. The staff could not have been any more accommodating. I stayed in the Blue Room which was very large and had a wonderful,... More

This was the poorest experience we have had of many stays. We stayed in the Blue room. We could not get the shower to work and ended up trying to take a bath--Not my first choice. Turns out that the shower does work but we did not receive instruction in the unusual way you have to turn the control. We... More

This is an intimate experience with great food, wine, and staff. Beautiful setting. Menu is somewhat limited, but the food is exciting and excellently prepared from appetizers to desserts. Definitely need reservations, and in season, reservations need to be well in advance. My favorite place in the entire Blowing Rock area. My experience is only with the restaurant, but the... More

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Gideon Ridge. Definitely, one of the most romantic 3 nights we've had in many years! The service is outstanding! We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, the French room, and loved it! We enjoyed having coffee in the morning out on the porch overlooking the mountains. The views are amazing!... More

If you're looking for tranquility, comfort, fantastic mountain views and good food, this is the place! Also, it attracts the kind of people you will enjoy. The in-room AC works fantastically. It maintains the exact temperature we set it on, which we really like. Tea time and breakfast are really special!.

We love being guests at Gideon Ridge, and stay there at least four times a year: both our birthdays, our anniversary and during leaf season. We've stayed in most of the rooms, and have enjoyed each and every one, for different reasons. Dinner at the restaurant is always an added treat! Hunter really outdid himself this last time we were... More

We recently stayed four nights after my husband was deployed for 11 months. While they didn't offer any military discounts, pricing was commensurate with the surroundings and service. Superb! It was quiet, and beautiful, and comfortable. We stayed in the Old Master which was a lovely room with a large private veranda. We would put on the robes left for... More

We have stayed at Gideon Ridge numerous times in the past nearly 20 years, and always make it a destination point on our end -to- end drives down the Blue Ridge Parkway. In June, our daughter surprised us with a room for our anniversary and our summer birthdays, and a gift certificate for dinner … once again, it was AMAZING!!... More

I stayed at Gideon Ridge Inn for one night with my husband. The accommodations, service, dinner were all spectacular. Our room had a fireplace, jacuzzi, and a very comfortable bed!! We ate dinner at the Inn, that was awesome as well. We actually were able to watch a young man walk his girlfriend down to one of the gardens near... More

Gideon Ridge Inn has been a favorite destination of mine for 20 years. My choice of the Cedar Cottage was perfect for a week of fun and relaxation, Cool temperatures and blue skies were the order of the week. Dinner at the Inn on Thursday was excellent. The views are beautiful. The Inn veranda is inviting for a glass of... More
