My wife and I had a night getaway planned in Blowing Rock. We gave the Village Inn a shot. When we checked in and got the key, we went to tour the room. All was nice except for a really strong cleaner smell and no jetted tub. I really expected the tub as shown in trip advisors pictures. I went... More

We took a last minute ski trip to Blowing Rock and decided to find the cheapest decent hotel I could. We were not expecting much for the price we paid, so were pleasantly surprised by Village Inn. The rooms are a little on the smaller side but very cozy and comfortable and quiet. Perfect for two. Nicely decorated and very... More

Dear Guest, We apologize for your frustration. However, it was not our properties that charged your card but Booking.com. When a reservation is made through a group such as Booking.com or Expedia you must call them to cancel your reservation otherwise they will go ahead and charge you. These groups are not local to the area you are traveling to... More

This was our second stay here. Last time we were very disappointed with the room size, but this time we were prepared. We were in 104, a king room with a little tiny sitting area off the side. We enjoyed the setup of this room much better than our last room (105). It was extremely clean, comfortable bed, great water... More

Stayed for 3 days after Christmas and will definitely stay here again. The room was small but had a king bed that we requested so it seemed very cramped. The bed was comfortable and there was a balcony on the back to go to the dog walking yard. Small refrigerator, micro wave, & coffee maker provided also. Nothing fancy but... More

There are only two pet friendly hotels in Blowing Rock that I have been able to find and this is one of them. Hillwinds is the other one and is owned by the same company. We have been staying at the Village Inn with our dogs for the past 9 years. We always stay in the Storie Cottage. It has... More

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and had stayed here years ago. We called and made reservations a month in advance. We were going to be checking in late, so we called ahead to tell the desk. No worries, we were told what to do when we arrived and all went according to plan. First thing to recognize is... More

On a recent visit to the Asheville, NC, area, my friend and I decided we wanted to see a bit more of the State, so we first ventured north to Blowing Rock, a quaint little town in the mountains. As we got within about 10 miles, the snow began to fall and by the time we reached the hotel, snow... More

I stayed one night here and found room quite cosy and welcoming. The next day, hours of drive away, I got aware, that I had forgotten a bag with valuables and toiletry in the bathroom. I phoned the reception a couple of times and wrote an email. We agreed, as it is usual practice in hotels, that they send me... More

My wife and I really wanted to like this hotel - the simple country charm really appealed to us. A small family owned business with a lot of country charm. But room 119 had such a strong odor of Mildew. I complained about it when we checked in, the clerk at the desk stated it might be because it just... More
