A picture is worth a thousand words! The pictures on the internet are quite a bit nicer than the actual room. While remodeled, the room reeked of mildew. Stayed for two nights and the smell never abated. As to a thousand words--you will here EVERYTHING that the people in the room next to you has to say! Conversation is annoying,... more

I am also very disappointed that this guest did not enjoy their stay at our hotel. While a domestic dispute is out of our control in neighboring rooms, we do offer a 24 hour emergency contact number for all guests in the event of such occurrences. In response to the musty smell, we did experience an unusual amount of rainy...

I could have probably overlooked the fact that this was a motel-style accomodation (ie doors open to the outside parking lot) and within 300 yards from a busy road (Highway 321) if the front desk attendant had not been so apathetic that he bordered on rude. Not even a "hello" or "welcome" was uttered upon our entry into the small... more

I am very sorry to hear that this guest did not enjoy their stay with us. During the month of September we experienced an unusual amount of rain but we have the situation under control. In response to the behavior of the front desk clerk, I cannot explain the situation other than to say that all of our guest service...

The receptionist was very polite and friendly and was happy to make recommendations regarding where to eat and attractions to visit. The room was compact and decorated with period furniture and a nice size flat screen TV, fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The porch area outside the room was a nice place to sit and read and provided a bit... more

After viewing the website, we stayed at The Village Inn in July 2009. We had a mini king suite. The bedroom was so tiny and the additional "sitting room", with two chairs and a table, was so small it was impossible to sit comfortably as the rockers bumped against the wall. The entire suite was so dark it was depressing.... more

The first thing that got me exicted about this hotel was the huge pond that greeted us. Filled with giant fish and ducks playing in the water, the pond also had a few benches to sit at, plus a bridgeway to a lil island with a bench on it too. The receptionist was very polite and friendly, when I asked... more

The best customer service I received was from the reservation girl. After that, it was all downhill. When we checked in, the guy at the desk was completely unprofessional--wearing a tee shirt, and not overly friendly, although not completely unpleasant--just not what you expect from someone whose job is to greet people staying at a hotel. The room was very... more

My husband and I stayed at the Village Inn for two nights in April. The rooms were nice, yet somewhat small, but for two people, there is plenty of room. We stayed in the Traditional King Room, which was very nice and cozy. The rooms are very nice with hardwood floors and tile bathrooms, a nice comfy bed, a nice... more

My then bf (now husband) and I stayed at the Village Inn back in March 2008 for a late season skiing weekend. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room had a certain charm about it, and even though we live only 3 hours away, it felt like a real getaway. We rented a room that had its... more
