The room was updated, clean. The grounds are well maintained and the owners treat you like family. Grab a rocking chair at the gazebo and feel the stress bleed away! We will be back every chance we get.

I have been traveling to Western North Carolina for years for the great motorcycle riding. I go there spring, summer and fall. Several years ago I stayed at the Blowing Rock Inn and since have been staying there exclusively. The rates are fair ,the rooms are very clean and attractive. The owners treat you like family. It's just a short walk... More

I thought it would be fun to stay in an old fashioned motel. The place was essentially empty so we got the room on the end across from the office. Big king size bed with a large window overlooking Main Street. More pillows than you could shake a stick at. Bathroom was adequate.

We were very disappointed with are stay at the Blowing Rock Inn. Coming in after a long 9 hour drive, the staff at check in was less than friendly. I ask about where things were in town, she point to a map rather than explaining or verbally telling me where anything was. The room was extremely small. The room was... More

It’s a traditional “drive up to your front door” motel, which is exactly why we’d picked it as a change from the run of chain hotels we’d mainly been staying on. There’s been some attempts to put things in the 21st century. There’s wi-fi, for instance, although it worked at tortoise speed. And there’s a friendly welcome and a comfy... More

Stayed here for one night while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. We didn't have a reservation but chose this inn as it looked well maintained. The room was lovely, spacious and nicely decorated with a very comfortable 4-poster bed. It was clean and quiet with only a short walk to restaurants etc. The owner recommended Bistro Roca for evening meal... More

We arrived in Blowing Rock in the evening after driving the Blue Ridge Parkway for hours. It was late and we were concerned about finding an acceptable place to stay for the night. We have traveled for years both domestically and internationally, and though we don't stay at 4 or 5 star hotels, we will not stay at a hotel... More

The Blowing Rock Inn was a welcome sight after hours of driving in the mountains! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The innkeeper was extremely helpful in giving us suggestions for restaurants, and for directions for our next adventure! We would definitely stay here again when our travels bring us back to Blowing Rock.

We stumbled across this motel while looking for an overnight stop off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We chose it because the buildings looked pretty and well-maintained. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. There was a problem with the free wifi when we first arrived, but that was quickly resolved. It is an easy walk from the restaurants, cafés... If you want to relive that road trip you took with your parents in the 1950's, without sacrificing all of the comforts you've become accustomed to, you should try out the Blowing Rock Inn. It is of the proto-typical design with each guest room opening directly onto a covered walk that follows along the front of the building. You pull... More
