We had an excellent dinner here during a trip to Blowing Rock last February. When we decided to visit Blowing Rock again this January we were so pleased that we could get a room here. Everything about this place is wonderful. We stayed in Room 7 which is like a little cabin or cottage - absolutely perfect. We had breakfast... More

I tag along with my girlfriend from time to time when she travels to Blowing Rock for business. We have stayed at The New Public House several times and the service and accommodations have been excellent EVERY time. The housekeeping, bar, and restaurant staff are very service oriented and go out of their way to make sure all things are... More

From the appetizer to the main course, to the desserts, this was easily the best meal I have had at a restaurant in a long time! Everything was delicious, and there are lots of gluten free options, even a gluten free dessert! We will certainly be back.

We stayed for an overnighter and it was great - room 2 is lovely, with sunshine greeting us in the morning. We enjoyed eating in the bar area, by the fireplace. The food was good, we especially enjoyed the brussels sprouts salad, and the bread pudding was delicious.

My husband & I stayed here for our annual mountain fall retreat as we love the changing of the leaves in the Smokey Mountains every year for 50 years...every bit as pretty as New England! Stayed here first 45 years ago when was the Sunshine Inn, then a couple years back when was Crippens. Really was impressed with the new... More

My husband and I spent a weekend at The New Public House in October and couldn't have had a better time! We parked our car and didn't move it again until we left town! Everything you could want or need is in walking distance! We had fabulous weather and enjoyed time relaxing on the front porch. The included breakfast is... More

My husband and I decided to visit Blowing Rock on a whim and stayed at The New Public House for one night. What a fantastic Inn! We stayed in their smallest room, #4, which was perfect! The room and Inn are spotless, the decor is beautiful, the bed was a huge king size, comfy and loaded with blankets and pillows,... More

We stayed here for one night while looking for a vacation home in the area. The accommodations were great, the staff was truly a pleasure to be with, and breakfast was amazing! I'd say it was a $50 breakfast at a minimum, all included in the rate. Jackie, the guest manager, was so pleasant, warm and friendly. We will stay... More

After getting rained out for our beach trip, decided to head for the mountains instead. Found this place online and glad we did. Been to Blowing Rock several times but didn't even know this place existed. Beautiful updated rooms with beautiful bathrooms. The whole facility was nice, clean, and the staff there are the nicest, most helpful folks you'll ever... More

My husband and I usually stay in hotels when we travel so we weren't sure what to expect when we decided to stay at The New Public House in Blowing Rock! The staff was super friendly throughout our visit. We stayed two nights in the connecting cottage off the main building. It was wonderful in every way! I am particular... More
