The town of Blowing Rock is still a holdout from chain motels and restaurants. It's a place where lodgings don't have room service, etc. Anyone who misses such amenities may not enjoy this destination in the first place. When you look at a map of the town, the inn appears to be a little off the main drag, but we... More

We stayed at the Hemlock in for one night, and maybe could stay 2 nights, but not any longer than that. It was clean. The bathroom was clean and the room and linens were clean. The rooms are very small and very "floral"....at least the one we stayed in was. I think there was only 2 other people staying there... More

We stayed here while in town for a friend's wedding. The Hemlock Inn is absolutely adorable! This place has loads of charm, our room was nice and clean, it was extremely affordable considering the location and the staff is great! Will definitely stay here again. More

After getting off the Blue Ridge Parkway for fuel, we discovered the Village of Blowing Rock. What a charming place. From the elevated town park to the ice cream store to cute shops and pots of flowers hanging from the street lamps. Keep this place on your list. We chose Hemlock Inn because we wanted to walk to dinner. Maybe... More

I am sitting in a Quality Inn in Hickory, NC as I write this. My girlfriend and I were heading to Blowing Rock, racing one of the better snow storms to hit NC in a very long while. Traffic on highway 321 came to a stand still a good forty miles outside of our destination, and now here we are.... More

The location could not be better - half a block away from Main Street, and 2 blocks from Sunset. The price is extremely reasonable for the area. The rooms (only ~20 of them) are basic--good bed, table, desk, bathroom, small fridge and microwave--but clean and decent. The heating/cooling unit didn't go a good job for us during the freezing weather,... More

Very nice and quaint hotel located in the center of Blowing Rock. The room was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. The price was extremely reasonable and the family had a good time, especially being able to walk to everything in town. The only negative we noticed was that the room could use a little more storage space. More

GREAT location....50' walk from the "main drag"....10 min. walk to restaurants, city park, a great hike to waterfalls, galleries, shopping; "old school" country comfort; park your vehicle right in front of your door; bed was super; small TV, clean fridge, coffee po, desk; bathroom clean and hot water.....reminds me of my grandmothers tiled bathroom complete with a heat lamp; room... Cute little place situated right in the center of Blowing Rock. Didn't give it five stars as the walls were a little thin at times and the shower head was shoulder/chest high. The room was a nice size and the bed comfortable. The front desk were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, very convenient... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Hemlock Inn, the Thursday after Christmas until Saturday. Me, Hubby, and our two kids, one in 20's and the other a teenager. We had room 18 on the second floor, double queen room. The room was beautiful and spotless, the beds had quilts on them, the room had a cabin decor or country decor.... More
