Stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and it was very quiet and clean. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. The price was reasonable as well. The property is beautifully landscaped and not too far from downtown Blowing Rock if you do not mind a little bit of walking.

This motel may look like a 1950's motel but the amenities are current. Beautfiully decorated for the fall, it was a treat to just walk the grounds. I chose this hotel because it was walking distance to downtown and it was just that and an easy walk. The rooms were very inviting and comfortable, the beds were perfect and the... More

I loved this hotel. So pleased. I booked this after seeing it on a previous trip where I had stayed somewhere else. The hotel is so neat and clean. The room was very large. #7 I loved each bed had its own chair and stool at the end of it. Bathroom was very nice. The grounds were gorgeous. So many... More

This place is NOT a five star big-city hotel type of place to stay. It IS an immaculate little jewel with clean, well-appointed rooms (sort of like your Granny's upstairs bedroom). But truly, the grounds featuring multiple outdoor seating arrangements for those cool evenings, are so beautifully landscaped you just dont want to go shopping on Main Street which is... More

Friendly staff that goes the extra mile. The rooms have furniture like you would have in your own home. One block from downtown... More

The grounds are immaculate. It the most amazingly upkept garden I have ever seen! Perfect at night looking at stars and perfect in the morning with the delicious coffee they provide, sitting back in rocking chairs and enjoying the garden. The staff is very kind and sweet. The room is classic, quaint, simple, and tasteful. Great deal for this room... More

The rooms here are nice. The staff are nice. But, what really deserves a five star, or even higher rating, is the garden. The garden is gorgeous - beautiful flowers and well designed, with a scattering of whimsical sculptures, a water wheel and comfy chairs. If you are going to stay here, bring a book and read in the garden.... More

This is a great place to take pictures. The grounds are always beautiful and meticulously maintained. The porch area next to the office is a nice place to sit and relax. There is a cabin in the middle of the grounds for rent too. So pretty!
