Meadowbrook Inn & Suites has great potential, but really needs some updating. There is nothing inherently wrong with the place, but it is dated. The location of the Inn is great -- close to the major highways and within a short walking distance of the historic Blowing Rock downtown. It was great to be able to walk to restaurants and... More

We had a wonderful time at Meadowbrook! My mother and I stayed in the main bldg. and were treated like royalty by the staff. The room was a perfect size (2 queen beds) and very comfortable. All our questions were answered by the concierges, and good suggestions were given regarding dining, sites, etc. Although I didn't have time to take... More

My family and I stayed on the 3rd floor of the main building. Very nice, clean room and bathroom with very comfortable beds. There was never a problem with outside noise, very quiet. Almost instant hot water, which I love. The location is great - near the junction of Hwys. 221 and 321, and within walking distance to downtown Blowing... More

This is a painful review to write, because we really like Meadowbrook and have stayed there several times previously. This time however, our experience was a little different. Our king suite was located on the ground floor of the annex. We've never stayed there before. The balcony for our room was great. It was good that there were extra pillows... More

The unique feature at this hotel is the room that has a pool inside, and the price per night reflects this. However there are some issues we encountered that will keep us from staying here again. The pool room is in the annex and the living area and bedroom are on the first floor accessible from the parking lot while... More

Was passing through Blowing Rock from our ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable... Beds were good and hotel was very quite. We stayed in the building behind the main hotel and heard as much as a door open. Staff was very helpful with locations for dinner and general information..

Stayed here for a business trip. They do a lot of things well, but some things really detract. I did feel our room was clean and the staff was nice. The hotel and its decor are sort of outdated, so everything feels a little "dusty"--from the old fashioned wall sconces in the hall to the fake plant on the table... More

I'm so glad you found our hotel to be clean and our staff to be nice! We work hard on both those fronts, and I'm happy you were pleased! Our indoor pool is beautiful, isn't it? I'm so glad you liked the grounds--July is such a beautiful time to come to Blowing Rock! One of our mottos here is, "Our... More

We stayed here with a group on a bus trip. It is a large quiet property. The front desk was unable to give us the TV channels, unable to tell us merchant store hours of the quaint mountain town shops, unable to keep the coffee replenished in the morning. There is no signage directing guests where the breakfast is served.... More

Dear Nancy, I'm so glad you decided to write! I'm delighted you thought our hotel was quiet and large enough to take care of everyone in your group. We have a beautiful site for tour groups, with plenty of space for bus parking, a 1-block walk to downtown, and 46 rooms with 2 beds. Our toiletries are from Gilchrist &... More

We stayed in the suite with the private swimming pool. There were extra towels which was very nice. The room was located in the annex. It was quiet, clean and the warm private pool amazing. Also in the room is an extra large jacuzzi style bath tub. Very nice. Only tip- hotel should change the stained ceiling tiles in the... More

The "yuck" was a large water spot overhead in shower! Why rent that room before fixing? Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was above average. Everything else was wonderful and it is a great location. Pretty landscaping.

Dear Mary, thank you so much for your kind comments about our property! I'm glad you liked the cleanliness standard that we set. That means a lot to us! I'm also happy that you thought our rooms are comfortable. Our mattresses are made for us in Charleston, and our rooms are quite a bit bigger than those in most hotels.... More
