This is our third visit here....we enjoy spending New Year's Eve as a getaway from nearby. Love the town and driving the back mtn roads and Mast General Store and others ....always an adventure. The Inn has always been great....we stayed in the Tree House this time but have stayed in Japanese Maple room before. Service great. Private on site... More

This is our second stay. The inn is beautiful and perfectly located. The staff is gracious and welcoming. Both times we've stayed at the Inn, we've met other guests who were back for another stay - some have been coming for many years. It's that kind of place.

My husband and I stayed at the Ragged Garden Inn for 3 nights in September 2013. It was a special vacation for us so we rented the Tree House suite. It was perfect the first two nights but on the third night we got almost no sleep due to a loud buzzing noise coming from the vicinity of the bathroom.... More

Nice and peaceful place to spend a night ... Pleasant personnel and discrete and good service. Only negative aspect would be breakfast time that finished too early. Not much room for a lie in and chilling out 100%.

Our visit to the Inn at Ragged Gardens was rather "spur of the moment" after having to cancel another scheduled trip. We were very pleased with the accomodations and the ambiance here. We chose the English Rose Suite and really loved the "double fireplace." We enjoyed chatting with other guests during the wine & hor d' oeuvre hour. Breakfast was... More

The Inn does not recycle and is quite arrogant about it-lots of other responsible and fun places to stay--one to avoid--when I wrote to the innkeeper she did not even have the courtesy to respond to my inquiry-we stayed in a number of more modest B&B's all of which took their social responsibility more serious that Ragged Inn

The Inn was the 5th hotel on our recent US road trip and we loved it! Great welcome and good sized room and bathroom. We booked the English Lavender room costing $163 dollar with breakfast included which was excellent with good choices. There were lots of extras including complimentary wine and canapés around 5pm plus a fridge with water ,soft... More

Welcoming and friendly staff, great breakfasts, wonderful location: this place has it all in Blowing Rock. Evening wine and cheese hour is a good way to meet fellow guests. Gardens are gorgeous and meticulously maintained. Restaurant, The Best Cellar, is first class. We'll return!

My husband and I were upgraded to the Inn at Ragged Gardens from their sister B&B Maple Lodge and it was a grand experience. We had a huge suite with outside balcony overlooking the front gardens. On Friday nights the Inn hosts a live concert with talented local mountain rock and folk artists. The service at Inn at Ragged Gardens... More
