This old inn has lots of charm, wonderful old wooden entry and halls. They have updated the bathrooms without destroying the character. Service was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Our room overlooked the gardens and the perfect place to spend an afternoon.

This was a last minute trip and we got there last room. It was the Tree House room it was a really neat room with sky lights the bed was very comfortable. We have stayed at quite a few places in Blowing Rock and this one we liked the best. We had great service everyone is very nice. During the... More

We stayed for one night whilst driving the Parkway. Initial impressions were good with a member of staff waiting in in the parking lot when we pulled in to help with our bags. Our room was nicely furnished in an antique style and was spacious. There were a few thoughtful little touches, like the evening cheese and wine reception and... More

We so enjoyed our visit! The atmosphere is wonderful, rooms are comfortable and private, staff are friendly & helpful and breakfast is wonderful! Afternoon wine is an extra treat. Our only criticism is that if you want to watch TV it is hard because it is tiny!

We have just returned from our second stay of 4 nights at Ragged Gardens. This year we had the Evergreen Garrett room which was quiet and comfortable. I do not recommend this room if you have problems with stairs, as it is all the way up! Ragged Gardens is expensive, but the accommodations and guest treatment are worth the price.... More

Having stayed at 7 different Blowing Rock inns over the years, I consider myself quite knowledgeable of the area accommodations. Though most places were very pleasant, the only one to receive my repeat business is the ideally located Inn at Ragged Gardens. Recently we were there for our 4th or 5th time, and its reputation remains intact with us. We... More

We stayed in the Tree House Suite. If it's available, definitely book it! We found the room charming- perfectly themed for a mountain stay. The decor and fireplace made the room feel cozy and special. We also liked going out on the balcony in the morning. We really enjoyed it!

This is a wonderful, slightly eccentric Inn that offers a variety of accommodations and a very good restaurant. For this, our second visit, we had a nice first-floor suite with a patio looking out on a lovely garden. When you make a reservation, be sure to think about the kind of room you want. The website has very good descriptions... More

This was one of the nicest inns of our three week trip. It is the most attractive in town, inside and out. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. And great beer across the street. Easy walking distance to shops. We would love to stay there again.

We returned to the Inn, expecting to experience a lovely setting with attention given to our comfort. We were not disappointed. This time we stayed in Willowbough. It is on the second floor, has its own sitting room with gas fire, and a balcony overlooking the front area adjoining the street. It was a gray weekend, with some drizzle -... More
