If you're looking for top notch technology and sparkling modern glamour, please go elsewhere. The floors creak here. The doors take real keys. The hustle and bustle of other guests coming and going can occasionally be heard (in a cheerful manner). This is AN OLD INN. It is charming and wonderful and exactly what you would expect if you knew... More

My wife and I just returned for The Inn at Ragged Gardens, yes this is a B & B but it was more than that for us. That really make you feel like family from the moment you walk in the front door at check in. It was just like walking in to moms house...... They entire staff are all... More

We have stayed here every December since 2003. We come and buy a Christmas Tree, shop, dine & have a great time. The Inn is so special. This year we brought our 29 year old son & his fiancee'. They loved it as well. A very special place.

With two girls living near Blowing Rock and one in Raleigh, we wanted to host a family weekend in Blowing Rock. We wanted a place to hold all of us and have mountain ambiance. After searching and searching, I found that Ragged Gardens had a cabin called Maple Cottage. We were delighted that the 3 bedrooms and living room were... More

We were in town for the Blood, Sweat and Gears race at the end of June. We travel with our two small Boston Terriers so we are limited to where we can stay. We wanted to make a weekend out of it so we booked the Carriage House at The Inn at Ragged Gardens. A little pricey but we decided... More

My husband and I traveled to Blowing Rock for the first time in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary and chose to stay at The Inn at Ragged Gardens based upon reviews. We could not have been more pleased. It is a wonderfully restored home that has a variety of rooms available in the main house as well as a... More

What a lovely historic old Inn. Yes the floors creak but that is to be expected. The time we spent there was delightful. The location, the breakfasts, the afternoon wine and nibbles, the pantry with complimentary waters, soda coffee and teas, and The Best Cellar restaurant all contributed to a memorable stay in Blowing Rock. We chose Monets Garden room... More

Perfectly located in center of town, this cozy B&B will not let you down! Room is very nice; not too big and not too small. Staff is very friendly and maid service is great. Complimentary drinks, water and a nice happier with light snack. Fresh cookies out everyday. Complimentary breakfast is great - all kinds of real food (omelettes, eggs... More

We've traveled together since getting married 20 years ago. And, I must say this place is an ALL time favorite. The Tree House room is the most expensive rooms in the place, but is the best. So quite. The bedding is like nothing I've ever experienced. I can't look back on my stay here without a smile on my face.... More

The combination of this inn's location and quality make it an easy choice for a visit to Blowing Rock. It is an historic property with outstanding grounds, just steps away from Main Street in Blowing Rock. Though not inexpensive, it represents good value, given the extras and amenities, including: -- Excellent made-to-order breakfast in the Best Cellar dining room, with... More
