Went to hike the nearby mountains near Blowing Rock. The drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway is a regional classic. We needed a hotel which accepts dogs. 1. The suite with fireplace/jacuzzi has a very homey feel, and is clean. The bathroom was spotless. $190/night 2. A two minute walk from downtown. 3. Very friendly reception. The manager and staff... more

The room itself was clean and comfortable and the price was right. The furnishings were a nice blend of antiques and semi-antiques, the bed was comfortable, the owners were friendly and helpful, nice location in Blowing Rock BUT----the bathroom was so small that my knees hit the wall when I sat on the toilet and there was no smoke detector.... more

My husband and I have stayed several times at the Alpine Village Inn. We always enjoy our stay there and have never been bothered by loud noises or barking dogs. It has always been very quiet and the owners go out of their way to always make our stay a pleasant one. We have always found it to be clean... more

We stayed at the Alpine "Inn" (really a motor court) over the weekend. It's right in town, a plus for us. The surroundings (yard, etc.) are very pleasant, however, this is a pet friently place (which I didn't realize) and most guests had dogs with them. There was always someone out in the yard with a dog, usually barking. Our... more

This was our third stay over 10 years at the Alpine Village Inn. Once again we were very happy with it and will return the next time we are in Blowing Rock. Other reviews have noted how clean and homey the rooms are and I would agree. The bathroom was so clean the paint on the white beadboard was not... more

This place was recommended to me and I'm glad it was. It only had about 12 rooms, but it was very clean and each room is decorated differently. There are little decorations that you don't normally see in hotels because people would tend to steal them. But here, you felt like you were staying in someone's house because of the... more

Stayed at the Alpine Village Inn a few weeks ago while in town for a wedding. Waited 'til the last minute on a busy weekend, and this was one of the few places still available. Overall, it was a perfectly nice little place... especially for the money (we paid $89 for a queen room). It's clean and close to everything... more

The Alpine Village Inn was such a pleasant surprise for us! We wanted to get away for the weekend, and found this Inn on the internet. It turned out to be such a great place! The rooms in this Inn are more like bedrooms. You feel like you're staying in someones home instead of at a hotel or motel. Quilts... more

I recently returned from a "best friends fall foliage peeping" trip. We stayed at a many of types of accomadations from New York to the Smoky Mountains. And this was by far the best little place we stayed in. The attention to detail in this little Inn was above and beyond any high class establishment. They beds were covered with... more
