The cabin feel in the middle of downtown was amazing. We could walk to all of the Blowing Rock attractions and restaurants within a couple blocks or less. We stayed in the Sweetheart Cabin which is their smallest unit, but it was perfect for my wife and I. Hugh was our Jack of all trades at the front desk giving... More

I can't praise the Mountainaire Inn and staff enough on our short (two night) stay. We had cabin 5 (I think). It was excellent - the hot tub was in the living room, so you could watch TV from it! The kitchen was nicely equipped and the bedroom was really nice - there was a great quilt/tapestry on the wall.... More

This was our first time staying or visiting downtown Blowing Rock and we happened to find this place online. The pictures don't do it justice! It was charming, cute and the owners were very accommodating, even upgrading our room from a Queen to a King. By the way, the king mattress was the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on.... Thanks for the great review. We value our relationship with you and hope to see you again soon. Our in town cabins and rooms are super convenient for walking to in town events and shops. Our off site cabins have a lot of charm too. More

Stayed in one of Mountainaire Inn's cabins in downtown Blowing Rock. Caught the weather just right and had a great day of blowing snow. Perfect for wandering downtown during Winter Fest. Loved the cabin and the staff at Mountainaire. Will be headed back again for sure.

This was a great family area. We traveled with another family. We each rented a cabin. All of the children enjoyed the snowboarding nearby. We enjoyed the shopping and food in Blowing Rock. I enjoyed the fire we were able to build in the cabin in the early morning and evenings.

A unique experience staying in a cabin and being right downtown Blowing rock. The innkeepers were extremely kind and accommodating. In the evenings, people were sitting in chairs around the fire pit drinking wine and enjoying conversation. They're also rocking chairs in front of the cabins. Great restaurants shops and bars, all within walking distance. Even the hiking trails are... More

From the moment we called to make the reservations, it was evident that superb service is their working goal. They made our stay seem like a honeymoon, even if we were vacationing with our 15month-old!!! Can't wait for our next skiing trip!!!

Staying in the river cabin was the most fun we've had in ages! We built a fire, my son caught 3 brook trout, we grilled and had wine and cheese at the gazebo! So much better than a hotel room. The owners are very helpful, cabin is adorable, we will definitely be back!

Came to Blowing Rock for a getaway. This lodge is VERY relaxing and comfortable. Not fancy or stuffy. After reading other reviews, I brought my own toiletries which ended up being a good thing. But talking with Deb and feeling like home, we will definitely be coming back here - once a season if possible. Oh yes, and walking distance... More

Two couples stayed in Moose or cabin 1 with two bedrooms--king size bed in one and 2 double beds in the other. In addition there was a kitchenette, living room, and bathroom. The living room had a fireplace and fire wood was provided. The warmth from the fireplace was great on the two cool December nights that we stayed. The... More
