My wife and I visit Blowing Rock several times a year and we always like to stay at the Mountainaire Inn & Log Cabins. Jim and Debbie (the owners) are always fun to visit with and go to every measure to make sure that we enjoy our stay. We've stayed in the guest rooms, downtown cabins, and off-site cabins and... We chose this little inn on a whim one weekend because they had a modestly priced room in a perfect location - it quickly became our new favorite in Blowing Rock and we quickly returned for a longer stay less than a month later! The rooms are tiny, but honestly, I loved that the most! It felt so warm and... More

Old school drive up motel with a bed and breakfast feel!! Deb, Jim and their staff treat you like family! Loved the cozy, clean decor, beautiful fireplace in the lobby and the fire pit outside with blankets! Walk to downtown! Definitely staying here again!!

We've stayed here twice. So inviting!! First time was at the Inn, this time at the Pine Needles Cabin. It was a short drive from downtown. The pure hospitality is just really nice. Deb and Jim go out of their way to make you feel like valued guests. I had originally booked a single room at the Inn and at... More

Thank you. We all love The Pine Needles Cabin too! Now we have a fourth cabin (The Apple Cabin) at the river location in our rental inventory. It's up the hill from the Pine Needles Cabin and we're very proud of it too. We hope to see you again soon. More

We stayed here on Halloween and I found it to be very cozy. The room was on the small side but we were not in there much anyway and we only stayed overnight. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. I could here someone laughing in the room next door when I was in the bathroom... More

This was my second time at the Mountainaire Inn. The room was so nice, the first day was cold an rained all day but still walked downtown. When we came home at night it was so nice an cozy in our room with the heaters on. I have stayed at a lot of Hotels and I must say I like... More

I must say we have been going on 5 years and plan on going again this coming January. We absolutely enjoy the staff and especially Deborah, she is a sweet gal. I love the cozy room we always stay at and even though the weather usually stinks around that time of year with it being drizzly and cold, we can... More

Selected this hotel from tripadvisor reviews. We had never been to Blowing Rock before. Despite horrible weather we had a lovely stay. Ms. Deb was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a room rather than a cabin - with a heater in the bathroom, which was nice since it was chilly. Good recommendations for restaurants. Really enjoyed it.

This motel has average size rooms that are clean and modestly furnished. On the end of town but convenient to everything and Blowing Rock is small enough that its easy to walk to all that is needed or wanted. Heaters are very old school but the room stayed warm without turning it on when it got down to 40 while... More

My daughter and I enjoyed our second stay this year at MI. We returned and stayed in the same room, we like the convienence of it... Even though the weekend was foggy, rainy and cool, and we didn't get to enjoy the fire pit as much due to the weather, we still had fun and enjoyed our stay! The owners... More
