There a limited number of hotels in Black Mountain and for the price, we like this one better than the Comfort Inn nearby. Don't expect luxury--just basic comfort. I recommend skipping the Continental Breakfast and having coffee and pastries and the Dripolator in downtown Black Mountain. It's great! more

The town is very peaceful and lovely. The front desk help was wonderful and recommended some great places to eat. The room itself was a disappointment. It stank, the air didn't work very well, and the bathtub handle kept falling off. The whirlpool was broken. We had reserved the room earlier...they could have had the air on, and deodorized it.... more
