My wife received a gift certificate from her office for a couple night stay Banner Elk Winery and Villa. We decided to extend it by a day, thought it would be a perfect time for a getaway with mom after taking our only child to college, and it exceeded our expectations. Checked in Thursday, out on Sunday. We found the... More

We located the winery online and it exceded our expectations! There was a small glitch on checkin but the villa is amazing. It is like being a guest in a dear friends home. Lovely rooms, beautiful sitting areas and decks on which to sit with a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy the views of misty mountains. We enjoyed breakfasts... More

We had planned a vacation thru the States, and at one point we were driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway. I reviewed the Winery and Villa, and was looking forward to our stay. We arrived on Tuesday 13th August at around 7:00pm. A young lady at the Villa re-directed us down to the winery saying'You need to go and see... More

This place is what you would expect of a B&B. Quiet, relaxed, beautiful views, etc... Breakfast each morning served between 930-10. We ate on the back porch with sleeves on in July. It was awesome. Cabernet room was awesome with fireplace and it's own bathroom including a two person Jacuzzi tub. We loved everything about this B&B. Banner Elk town... More

We googled wineries in the Blowing Rock area. We narrowed our list down to this and Grandfather Winery (See its own review) for a Sunday-after church outings. We started at Banner Elk. We picnicked by their pond and headed to the winery for a tasting and music. The young lady giving the tasting was knowledgable and pleasant. The music was... More

The Banner Elk Winery and Villa is a very special place. We only spent one night. It was so peaceful and quiet, and the wine tasting is the best we've tried in North Carolina. We were visiting in Boone, North Carolina on business, and found this to be a great, convenient place to stay... and the wine tasting was free... More

Went after horseback riding with our 10 year old and loved it. Really comfortable and great staff. We are not rose drinkers but this one is so good we purchased bottles to take home. Only negatives - you cannot purchase logo glasses and they need more outdoor seating. Regardless we liked the wines and we will visit again.

The Villa is richly and comfortably decorated and offers a number of lovely rooms to choose from (we got a chance to see them all). The living area and den, with a fireplace, are open to guests, as is the kitchen (a nice option for storing cold drinks, etc.). The hosts, Terri and Lee, were extremely nice and friendly, and... What a surprise! A stately home on the hill with huge guest rooms combining elegant furnishings with comfort and modern conveniences. Terri treated us like friends and we could enjoy sitting on the great porches overlooking the pond and hills while sipping the excellent Banner Elk Red and White from the winery just a few yards away. Anyone who needs... More
