Very close to Beech Mountain which had just gotten snow! Minimal staff when we were there, but there was a bar and restaurant for breakfast. Very log-cabin style--just be prepared. If it's cold, bring an extra blanket! Would go back if there was a special rate or such.

I went to recharge my batteries on a disconnect holiday - Solo with no phone or internet. This was PERFECT! I stayed in the Roof Garden Room. The bed was comfy; the bathroom was huge; the fireplace was lovely; room was clean and cozy; and the porch and hot tub were HEAVENLY! This is not a typical "hotel" stay -... More

I took my girlfriend for a quick getaway. I was not sure what to expect but as soon as we got there we fell in love with the place. I definitely recommend the appalachian room it has a wonderful view and as soon as you open the door your hit with a smoky cedar smell that is amazing. The place... More

The room was large but worn. A few easy updates could make a better impression, such as replacing the rusty curtain shower rod. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The fireplace was a big disappointment mainly because of the wood we purchased from the lodge. It would not light no matter how many fire starters we used. We joked... More

Definitely a relaxing 4day stay in a beautiful, lodge It is an older property. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, but certainly rustic. Don't book expecting a fancy hotel by any means - it has a very "log cabin" feel to it. It was very spacious, but a few things could use some updating like the television, etc... There is also... I read several other reviews before writing this. My husband and I stayed at Archers Mountain Inn for two nights. It's located about a mile from the top of Beech Mtn on the same road. The Inn is older, and it is rustic with wood walls and ceiling. But it makes for a perfect mountain atmosphere. Our king sized bed... More

I planned a surprise trip with my sweetie and checked the calendar for the prime leaf changing time. Fortunately, room availability and leaves cooperated and the view from our room (Appalachian) was spectacular. We ate at on site Jackalope's for two nights. The waitperson for the first dinner was great but another waitperson for the second night was poor. The... More

We have stayed at this bed and breakfast before, but it has been awhile. It is an older property, and the word I would use to describe it is rustic, but we love it here. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which is large with high ceilings and a HUGE fireplace, for which you can buy a fire starter and... More

The good news: big rooms with refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and a table for 4 (good for board games and in-room eating and a wood-burning fire place. Spectacular views and great rockers on the porch to enjoy them. The bad news: the rooms are cabin-style dark (not my preference), housekeeping is lacking, and in our 3-day stay the Wi-Fi signal...
