We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Azalea Inn for our annual anniversary getaway. The Inn and the grounds are lovely. Frank and Karen were gracious hosts. Breakfast was delicious and filling, though with more emphasis on quality than quantity. (That is a plus in my book.) We stayed in the Ivy room, which was not large, but... more

I stayed 3 nights for the Highland Games. First of all, let me say that the inn is in a great location for all the shops and restaurants in the village of Banner Elk. Also, it is very convenient to Grandfather Mountain. The food served at breakfast is quite nice. I stayed in the Magnolia room, which is on the... more

Wife and need a night away from the home renovations so book Azalea Inn. The place was very charming. It met our standards for a quiet and relazing stay. I would caution though that the town of Banner Elk Fire department still use a town siren when they have a call. The siren woke us up at 2am. If anyone... more

My husband and I stayed at the Azalea Inn for a romantic weekend getaway. The inn was very charming and well located across the street from the town center. We stayed in the Willow room which had its own porch and front entrance separate from the main inn. The room was very clean and the bed was great, but the... more

My husband and I took a long weekend trip to go skiing. We loved our stay at the Azalea Inn! Frank and Karen were so nice and so welcoming! We have never stayed at a B&B before, but were truely impressed. The rooms are so clean and so charming. The bed was very comfortable and the down comforter was a... more

My husband and I stayed at Azalea Inn for a quick one-night getaway on Feb 7th, and we had a great time. There seem to be some mixed reviews on TA about the Innkeepers, which is why I decided to write a review. Frank and Karen were perfectly friendly and helpful. I had a few email exchanges with Frank before... more

We found our brief stay at the Azalea Inn to be perfect in all respects. We have stayed at B&Bs all over the US and Canada, and this was perhaps the best ever. The hosts, Karen and Frank, were friendly and a wealth of information on the area. The entire facility was spotlessly clean and the lovely gardens well tended.... more

We didn't know what to expect at the Azalea as the reviews have been so varied. But what a great place. Frank and Karen were nothing but friendly and helpful and the breakfast was huge!! They seemed to want us to treat the place as our own. The Inn is extrememly quirky and all the bric a brac must have... more

The owner of this B and B obviously is not in the business to help tourists--only himself. Do not make the mistake we did in thinking this was the Azalea Inn in Blowing Rock (even though this inn uses search terms such as Blowing Rock). Once we realized we were at the wrong location and called to explain, the host... more

I can understand why this young man is upset however in spite of our best efforts, the mistake was his. He called and said he was on our web site and wanted to reserve a room for the evening in question. We had only one room available and I took the reservation. I then gave very detailed and specific directions...

The first time we stayed at the Azalea Inn, it was by mistake. We thought we had booked a room at a similarly-named hotel in a nearby town. Having never stayed at a B&B before, we were worried about showing up late. We phoned Frank & Karen to let them know what had happened and that we would get there... more
