This is our second visit (first one Dec 2014) and just as wonderful as first! Greeted at arrival like old friends. Cindy is a great host and Paul great chef. Home is warm and inviting. My kids (14 and 18) had their first b&b experience last year and could not wait to go back.

The 1902 Turnpike House B&B has everything that a Bed and Breakfast needs: Kind and gracious hospitality, good beds (and nice rooms) and a nice and relaxed atmosphere. My family and I spent one of our most festive Christmas holidays with Paul and Cindy, who are simply charming. We also opted for an excellent Christmas dinner (only $15 a head!).... More

We were out on a trip looking at the leaves and enjoying the scenery. We arrived earlier than expected and received a warm welcome from the owners. The house is generally nice but is jammed packed with decorations and stuff. Crowded is the word. The room was just ok. It really needs work, cleaning and upkeep and repairs. Bed was... More

First off the owners are wonderful people. Cindy and Paul could not have been more warm and inviting. They have decorated the house in the fall theme, which makes it even more special. The room we stayed in the (Sugar Mountain Room) was the right amount of room we needed for 3 adults. Wonderful grounds to walk around on, swing... More

We were welcomed at the door by Cindy with a friendly smile and got settled into our room right away. Cindy called us by name and gave us a tour and history of the wonderful home and grounds. Cookies, drinks, snacks, etc were available with lots of magazines to read on the large front porch. Next morning we were served... More

We have stayed at Paul and Cindy's 1902 Turnpike House for the past 5 years. We always get a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoy their charming home. Paul, of course, is a wonderful and creative chef!! Fresh herbs and flowers come from their garden. Don't miss sitting on the back porch to watch birds and woodland creatures. Yesterday we saw... More

Although we arrived later in the evening, due to getting lost at the end of our 11 hour drive, Paul welcomed us as soon as we arrived and gave us a tour of the home and our room, which is an addition to the main house. As others have mentioned, the B&B is decorated quite extensively for the season, and... More

We stayed on a Thursday so there was no one else staying (weekdays are usually very quiet, that's why we go then) at the Turnpike. Upon arrival they met us at the door and gave us a tour and history of the house, pointed out the cookies, one kind of which were made especially for my dietary needs! They were... More

two couples and our 3 teenagers stayed here two nights between Christmas and NYE. It was our kids first stay in a B&B and they loved it and so did we (we have stayed at several before). We had all three rooms upstairs so we had to all to ourselves. Really felt like our house! Breakfast was delicious and a... More
