A gem of a place. Clean. Beautiful grounds, right on the millstream. Easy walk to shops and restaurants in town. Upscale continental breakfast. Small rooms (and ours, while en suite, had shower, not tub), but rooms are very nicely redone (ours had hardwood floors, antique dresser, comfortable queen bed). Reasonably priced. The location is right beside the millstream, quiet except for the sound of the running water. Gorgeous. Arrived here 4 hours early at 11am, they let us into our room early with no problems. Breakfasts good but not quite the variety advertised on the website but there was a serious lack of eating space. stayed in room 12, nice jacuzzi tub,2 person shower; gas fireplace, separate bedroom with king bed, nice roll out counch in living area, small kitchette, 2 nice size tv's, hardwood floors. This motel, built in the 1940's, has been lovingly restored. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the location is quiet and the landscape is lovely. You couldn't find a more picturesque location so close (walkable) to Woodstock's town center. The breakfast is at 9am-11am, instead of 7am -9am....very civilized. Loved this charming place! Perfectly located in beautiful Woodstock. Rooms so cozy and decorated nicely. Great amenities and lovely furnishings. So warm and comfy. My husband and I stayed here for three nights, mid-Sept. The Inn was full due to events in town. Due to complications in our reservations, our fault, we had three different rooms. While all were small, they were immaculate and comfortable with simple but charming decor. Given how cool it got at night, it was nice the room was cozy... more
