I've been staying at the Thompson House for many years now when I go skiing with my kids. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. They have great views of the mountain and balconies for star gazing at night. The staff is extremely helpful, courteous and polite. I wouldn't stay anywhere else while at Windham. More

Recently stayed for the Columbus Dayweekend with family and friends. This is a yearly event, but the Thompson House was a new venue for us. Staff was accomodating, friendly. Food was good. Rooms were beautiful and very clean. Part of my family has lived in Windham for over 50 years and we have stayed at many nearby locations-this is a... More

The husband and wife team at the Thompson House should be commended for their care and concern for their guests and others. We were in Windham, NY the day after Irene damaged Windham. We were staying at the Thompson House at the time. We were told to evacuate the hotel because the flood waters were getting very close. We evacuated... More

It was a nice hotel to stay at. The owner is very attentive and personally engages guests in activities provided on site. We requested an additional cot, as we visited with three small children. They could use new cots. The cot smelled of mildew, even asking for the sheets to be changed the following morning, and we did pay an... More

My family and I have been going to the Thompson house for over 20 years. The rooms and grounds are always immaculate. The food is well-prepared with plenty of variety. The staff members are always extremely pleasant and courteous and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My only regret is that I had to leave... More

The Thompson House goes out of its way to ensure that every guest has whatever they need. Their attention to detail, combined with the immaculate grounds, comfortable and spacious rooms, and delicious food make for a memorable vacation. Sometimes problems arise during a vacation; it's a shame that some people choose to complain on an anonymous message board rather than... More

The TH is a decent Motel. To call it a hotel is a big mistake. Rooms are old and beds cracking from bad maintenance. Stay in front of the golf and old electric carts will make New York City feel like a cemetery. Noise commences at the crack of dawn, as early as 4:45am. Bathrooms are smelly with mold and... More

This was our second Thompson House vacation. Nothing changed since we visited 2 years ago. The same super-clean rooms, super-trimmed grounds, super-friendly service. The food is as great, as we remembered it. Our waitress, Joanne, went all out her way to satisfy our toddler daughter's taste, the pickiest ever. What this place really needs is a better entertainment and better... More

They had a junior suite that was spacious enough for families with three or more kids and a pleasant view of the golf course/country club. Wish it were a bit more up to date (screen/storm doors practical but a bit worn; TV had no DVD player but decent enough cable, carpet clean but a bit worn, etc.). If you want... More
