I have eaten at this restaurant many times the food is always excellent! The atmosphere is unique and cozy. I would highly recommend. after a day at the mountain this is the best place to go to eat or have a drink and it's only about 2 miles from Whiteface.

the wilderness inn in wilmington n.y. is a very sleepy place to stay, and thats a good thing, its set on a quiet hill off route 86. it has different kinds of accommodations, log cabin, trailers that sleep from 4-8 people. Its a stones throw from santa's workshop. we stayed in the aspen cabin which is actually a trailer, it is... We visited in March '14, stayed in the Cedar cabin, and were extremely pleased with the accommodations, quality and price. The cabin is small yet comfortable, cozy, with 2 beds - 1 queen, one full, and a comfortable futon in front of the fireplace. It also has a microwave, coffee maker and a refrigerator, and even a small breakfast nook... More

Our friend Allison suggested we have dinner here. It wasn't far from Santa's Workshop and on the road back to Lake Placid. We chose to eat off the light menu. Everyone was happy with their choices. My wife and I had hot roast beef sandwiches. The service was good and the atmosphere is rustic and homey. A great time was... More

Last year we ate at the Wilderness Inn on vacation. We were put in a very cramped area and the service and food was terrible. Althoughwe were cramped the owner had a table set up asa shrine to her self. Will never go back.

We have stayed here 4 times. My Husband and I get a small cozy cabin that has a fireplace, bedroom, living room, has a microwave, coffeemaker, fridge and all the firewood included. We love these cabins up in the mountains and highly recommend them. They also have a restaurant right there on the premises for dinners at night. They have package... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Tamarack cabin for a weekend get away. The cabin was very clean and I loved that it had some authentic Adirondack touches. It was very close to everything we wanted to do. We did not eat at the Wilderness restaurant as we thought it was a little over prices. We ended up eating... More

This was a beautiful setting. My mom and aunt stayed in one of their rooms a few weeks earlier and both agreed it was fine. So, my mom booked the Beechwood for herself and my family two weeks later. It's a single wide trailer with old everything. It's probably perfect for skiers looking for a place to crash, but I... More

The cabins are perfect for those looking for a clean, comfortable and well priced place to crash when skiing at Whiteface. Excellent proximity to the mountain and to Wlimington. I would recommend to anyone. Staff are very accomodating and easy to plan a trip with. Thanks again Paul!
