My wife and I spent one night at the Soundview Manor in the fall of 2013, and we nearly left early. We had a very similar experience to dodgerdiasy. We planned to arrive during the designated arrival time, but the owner called us and made us feel guilty for inconveniencing her by coming at all. Upon our arrival, we were... More

My husband and I stayed at Soundview Manor in the Fall of 2013. While we enjoyed the historic significance of our lodging, the stay was uncomfortable at best and we soon discovered why we were practically the only guests during our stay. The bed was a bit lumpy and on a slight tilt, but that added to the charm. The... More

Don't judge a book by its cover. The house has potential but my bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was box cereal, juice, and bread. I travel a lot for work and mostly stay at Holiday Inn Express but when I can't find one nearby I like finding a good bed and breakfast. This was the worst one I've stayed... More

SEAN: Soundview Manor “Nice on the outside” & is even better on the inside! Of course, it is shocking to us at Soundview Manor that this guest expresses dissatisfaction with his stay here. This review was the first we heard any complaint from him. Incredibly, it was written the very same day he signed our Guest Book on check-out with... More

I did not have a good experience at Soundview Manor and would not stay again or recommend it to others . Although it is a very beautiful historic property it is overpriced for size and services available. It is not as clean as it should be and the bed was uncomfortable. Several clashes with the owner including unwarranted additional charges,... More

The bed size was not what we were expecting. The mattress rested on an old metal box spring causing the bed to be too, too hard. The cleanliness of the was terrible. Many things in the room did not work and at the time no contact phone number was available. Considering the price of the room, we would have expected... More

I was unaware until a few days ago, when I discovered to my amazement, that, without the slightest notice beforehand, this mortifying negative review of our B & B was posted by a couple who stayed with us for two-nights back in April this year. When they signed out, they identified their stay as “Delightful.” In our Guest Book, they... More

A perfect, quiet base for the visiting professional. As a surgical resident, I looked long and hard for apartments in the Westchester area and found nothing that compares to this beautiful mansion. It is conveniently near to the Westchester Medical Center, all of White Plains, and only a half-hour drive to Manhattan. Its location on the last piece of undeveloped... More

This is just an elegant stay in a beautiful mansion! The place permeates of the 1920's yet with the elegance of an Italian architectural influence. The caretakers are so sweet and lovely, they make you feel like you're right at home. Lawns are beautifully kept and gardens offer solitude and quiet walks, a peaceful spot in a city that is... More
