We were warmly welcomed by Innkeeper Alexandra who gave us a tour of the inn and all of the amenities. There is a comfortable room with a large window that looks out on Lake Champlain. The room has comfortable seating, along with all of the essentials to enjoy a relaxing evening. There are wine glasses, cork screws, napkins, ice and... More

Can't say enough good things about the way we were treated here....the innkeeper tried to take care of our every need. She made late-afternoon coffee for my husband's caffeine fix & brought us plates for our takeout pizza. The town is small but pretty; we loved the charm. On the Thursday night we were at the inn, there was a... More

Our family enjoyed two nights at the Inn in Westport in July, and we were thrilled with the experience from start to finish. The owner was delightful- warm, professional, and helpful. Our room was immaculately clean, super cozy, and beautifully decorated. I first stayed at this Inn in the early 1990's, and other than in terms of its historic beauty,... More

This was a really fun place to stay. The Inn is comprised of three old buildings situated almost on the shore of Lake Champlain. Tastefully decorated and immaculate, the rooms are a little on the small side. The downstairs common area holds the owner's collection of over 8,000 books. Feel free to peruse the shelves and purchase something for your... More

My husband and I had an excellent stay at The Inn in Westport, NY. The Inn was beautifully decorated and our room "The Edgar Allan Poe" was clean and comfortable. The owner, Alexandra, was very friendly and helpful.

The proprietor, Alexandra, is doing an excellent job at this B&B. She made us feel most welcome and went to a lot of extra trouble to ensure our stay was enjoyable, which it was. I would have given her a five star rating if it wasn't for the rather ordinary breakfast. The fare was limited and there was no staff... More

we stayed for just one night enroute to northern part of the state. Our room was called Ayn Rand I think and faced away from the road. It was unusually warm night in May and we really could have used a fan to make the room better for sleeping but the setup made it impossible to ask for a fan... More

I spent a few days in Westport at the Inn and was sad to have to leave. The innkeeper made me feel very welcome and at home. The place was spotless, my bed was very comfy, the breakfast offerings ample (cereals, yoghurt, breads and English muffins, juices, hot beverages ~ all self-service). Guests can brew myriad teas at an upstairs... More

The Inn in Westport is that increasingly hard to find property in the Adirondacks: historic yet clean and comfortable, furnished in delightful harmony with its age and architecture, not subjected to major overhauls in the name of accommodating "today's" traveler. My cozy little room, the Edgar Allen Poe, was a delight - a space that Invited me to have a... More
