Upon review on trip advisor we were anxious to try this place. Yes it is clean and rustic. The room is small as described BUT. There is no office on the property, stuffy room with no A/C. No wifi. Poor cell phone signal and the beach is a ways away! Hmmm. Overpriced at $89 a night.

As a previous reviewer noted, the rooms are exactly as advertised and clean. We got just what we wanted: a budget priced, clean, perfectly acceptable motel room for the night. Check-in at the hotel (a short drive away) was quick, easy and cheerful. The location by the lake is great and the motel grounds are neatly groomed. Also, there's ample... More

Rooms look exactly as advertised, were clean. Was right on the water easy access we had kayaks. boat launch right next to motel if you have a motorized boat. Easy access to town (not much in town) Sitting area at water front and a fire place we made a fire one night. Was quiet. Great value for the price.

The motel is situated on the shores of Lake Champlain, with a nice little grassed area near the lake for relaxing - the office and staff are situated nearby at The Westport Hotel and Tavern, where guests pick up their keys. Motel rooms are tiny, very basic and very outdated - varnished plywood walls. Requires a major upgrade or at... More

Nightly rate for The Lakeside Motel is $79 plus taxes for a charming, very clean albeit basic motel room. The entire motel exterior was recently repainted and we chose to keep the wood walls inside rooms because of it's rustic charm! Remotes in rooms (yes, thank you Charter...there are 2) are labeled appropriately. One for on/off, one for channel changing.... More

I stayed here alone on a Thursday in late May and found the room clean and well kept, although it's a basic motel with few amenities. I'm rating it Very Good because so many such places in small towns are not as well kept. There was some road noise in the early evening but very little traffic after that. There... More

I like small well-kept motels and this one was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable with real wood walls. Larger bathroom than some places. Just a short walk to the lake and very few people around. The owners also run the Westport Hotel with a restaurant. We had the continental breakfast in the morning. Cereal, rolls, biscotti, great... My son and I stayed the night at this quaint motel right on the shore of Lake Champlain the night before bringing him to Camp Dudley. First thing we did was sit on a couple of Adirindack chairs looking out on the lake for a while. We found out other families also dropping their boys off tomorrow were also checking... More

For 80 bucks a night, you can't be severe, it's a motel probably build in the 70', the favorite color of the architect is probably brown... But I like this motel, it's cozy, warm and comforting. The room is small and there's no AC, but the room has a small cooler, which is nice. It's not very far from "downtown"... More

I recently stayed as the westport hotel down the street from this location. It is owned by the same owners as this Motel. If you go to the website, the pictures does not do it justice. This place is very clean, cozy, and relaxing. There is a tavern and restaurant down stairs that has excellent food/drinks. The duck wings is... More

Just a nice place in a small town where you can enjoy Lake Champlain. We came here on our trip by train, the railwaystation is near. The motel is really next to the lake and provides picknicktables and comfortable Adirondeck chairs. Allthough there is a microwave there are no spoons, forks, knives, plates or bowls. In Westport there are several... More
