My husband and I stayed in the Renaissance Suite. The whole place is filled with gorgeous antiques and the architecture is wonderful. Wilma, the innkeeper, was very nice and although they don't live in the building, they are available. I love that there was a kitchen area in the room. If we were staying more than a couple days, that... More

Thank you for your complimentary review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. Apparently your only complaint is the length of the bed for your husband. We have 10 suites all of which have either full queens or what we call custom queens. Some earlier Civil War beds were oversize for wealthy homes which we have chosen. We have... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. Another couple we traveled with had a smaller, but more up to date room than ours. We had the Renaissance Suite, which was decorated with gorgeous antiques, but smelled very musty, which set off my allergies. (there are several water damage marks on the high ceiling and some missing... More

There are now a great many businesses that will assist your business in promoting higher search results and offering suggestions and assistance securing positive reviews. Today there are a vast number of wonderful reviews. Many reviews in our opinion are a problem when they seem to consistently promote the... More

This was my second time staying at the Candlelight Lodge, and I enjoyed both visits. The Innkeeper, Wilma, is friendly and helpful. I liked the vintage atmosphere throughout the building. The rooms themselves are charming, with antique furnishings. The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious, and great chairs. I also enjoy relaxing in a real bath tub! One room I... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from a weekend away at the Candlelight Lodge. The place was cute with its old Victorian charm. The Inn Keeper Wilma was a nice lady, gave us a 20 minute run down of the area upon arrival and even helped us out when we locked a cell phone in the room upon check out.... More

Thank you for your candid review. We sometimes question some of the positive as well as negative reviews of other B&B’s on other sites. For the record, we do not solicit, pay for reviews or use any programs to solicit reviews. The initial part of your review was very complimentary. Thank you. The rest of your review has a few... The Candlelight Lodge is absolutely gorgeous, the furniture is beautiful and the room was very comfortable (we stayed in the renaissance suite). Wilma was very knowledgable and friendly. This was the first time for us staying in a B&B and I think was a wonderful way to get "broken into" the idea of staying at them again in the future.... More

Thank you for your review and we enjoyed meeting and talking with you. Your review while favorable did bring up the subject of cleanliness. Candlelight Lodge is an 1851 Victorian mansion with period furnishings. The Lodge requires more than the normal amount of cleaning and care. We have 5 or 6 girls cleaning 11 rooms and since this is the... More

We stayed at the Candlelight Lodge over the labor day weekend--myself, friend, son and his girlfriend. Wilma was responsive re: emails asking about availability and accommodations, and was on time, welcoming, and helpful with area information. My friend and I stayed in the Mahogany Suite because it was the only one with 2 beds. It was very comfortable and inviting... More

My spouse and I stay here when we are in Westfield for reunions or family events. Wilma maintains the place nicely and the rooms and beds are comfortable. We've stayed in a few of the rooms, but the Renaissance Suite is the largest and most convenient. It has a small kitchen and large room. The A/C worked well, and we... More

We recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at the Candlelight Lodge B & B while attending the Lake Erie Wine and Cheese Weekend. Centrally located along the Chautauqua Wine Trail, it was the perfect place to base ourselves. We stayed in the Mary Jane Suite which we found to be quite comfortable and roomy. Though breakfast is not... More

Thank you for your very complimentary review and suggestions. We enjoyed meeting you and having you as our guests. Just a heads up on the wiring and smoke detectors. The building was built in 1851 and we became a bed and breakfast in 1986 - the oldest in the county. Since our purchase in 1986 we have rewired with proper... More

Candlelight was an easy drive from Detroit which makes it a great place for a short weekend trip. This part of New York is just full of laid back things to do: Hiking from short and easy to many miles; Nice clearly marked roads to bike on; abundant wineries with tasting all year; many art galleries and and antiques stores;... We very much enjoyed our stay at the Candlelight, and hope to return in the summer! Our friends rented the Mary Jane suite, which was beautiful and elegant, and my husband and I were in the Pine Suite - which didn't look like much from the pictures online, but was absolutely charming! It had its own little living room in... More
