On the outskirts of Glasgow, but convient and cheap trains. Breakfast great, rooms clean with dated but tidy decor. Decent TV and bathroom too! Staff very friendly! The walls are thin (imagine a portacabin!) and we had to ask the night porter to quieter down nextdoor... I reccomend it for budget travellers but not for coupes looking to get a... More

We had one night here during the Commonwealth Games. We were treated to a lovely welcome by the friendly staff. The room was a bit dated but perfectly functional. There is a train station about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. But this also means that there is a train line which runs along the back of the hotel. The... More

Lovely staff. Room at back more than sufficient. No bother with trains as they stop at 11.00 pm and don't start again until 7.00am so a good nights sleep. Out all day so it doesn't matter. 4 mins walk to trains and 2 stops from Hampden Park. Nice food in restaurant. Also good Italian nearby - Caiobella. Lorraine and David

We just spent 3 nights at this hotel to visit the Commonwealth Games. We had a twin room which was adequate for our needs but in need of a refurb. Our friends had a refurb room which was very nice. Our room was at the back of the hotel with a trainline running behind & very close, so rather loud.... More

Had one night here whilst on business, Staff very friendly, room a little dated but adequate. Bar and the food was excellent, good price and good size portions of food. Would certainly consider staying here again.

Eat and drink here on a regular base. Food always og a good standard, new look bar is great. Would reccomend to anyone. The place is always spotless. Staff do sometimes lack a bit of get up and go, but always polite.

Hotel is not easy to find as the main sign is down. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was tired and backed onto railway line but was still quiet. Poor ventilation but a fan was provided. Had fault with bedside light but was fixed very quickly. Breakfast (full Scottish) kept us going all day.

Stayed here for one night, went to the bar next door for a few drinks before heading out then returned after the bar had closed, the night porter man was really friendly and served us a further drink. Rooms were spacious and clean with good facilities.
