Visited Struthers as was invited to join 50th birthday celebrations. This place truly is a hidden gem. Set in a beautiful location we were given a warm welcome. There was a fantastic variety of food to choose from the five course menu. Myself and the other seven guests all chose something different from each course and none of us were... More

We've come here several times, the first in the 1980s, and the food has always been excellent. This week I went with two family members and two friends. Between us we tried virtually all the key dishes and every one was brilliant. From the time you go into the pre-dinner lounge till you finish your coffee, it is as if... More

Went to this restaurant on Saturday. We were a group of 9 and had a lovely time. The food was excellent, with a great choice. The four course meal was £27.50 and was great value. Generous portions. No one was disappointed with their choice. The desserts deserve a mention as there was a choice of about 9 or 10 laid... More

Recently stayed here, had dinner bed and breakfast. For £54 pp u won't get better. They food was great, rooms were spotless though decor was very old. I would highly recommend this place. And u can take your own drink which believe it or not is a really good idea. Please try this place you won't be disappointed.

Had a few family parties in here now. The home cooked meals are amazing especially the dauphinoise potatoes. The choice is outstanding and the sweet table is to die for. Stayed overnight in a lovely room no tv but plenty of books to indulge in and breakfast is also fantastic, cereals fresh fruit hot croissants then a full fry if... More

This was our second visit to the struther and we really enjoyed it both times the rooms are clean and comfortable and have a real homely feel to them. Decore a little old fashioned for my taste but it adds character to this beautiful building and for us was all part of the experience. The breakfast here is The best... More

Excellent food and welcoming hosts - a truly relaxing experience in accommodation brimming with character that city establishments cannot recreate. Fantastic value for money. I stayed for four weeks in order to complete a project in Glasgow. I cannot recommend it enough for any 'business' visitor needing to access Glasgow or Kilmarnock - each easily reached by a regular rail... More

Had dinner bed and breakfast just last weekend. The food was exceptional, the service warm and efficient yet unobtrusive, and the whole stay was just so relaxing. The food is simple ( a great thing in my view), yet delicious, and the sweet table (an entire table !!!) is utterly unique. Undoubtedly this will become a regular event - we... More
