During our 4 weeks in New Zealand, we were privileged to stay in 3 lodges which we rate as excellent and Kuaotunu Lodge was definitely one of these. The house is immaculate, yet homely, the view as stunning as you could hope to find (with your own little patio area from which to enjoy it) and the owners Lorraine and... More

We stayed here for two nights, and what a lovely place it was. Lorraine and Bill were the most gracious, helpful, hospitable hosts you could want to meet. The room was lovely, with a stunning view and access to an amazing garden. A nearby beach was the best swimming beach we found in NZ. Our cooked breakfast was excellent and... More

Bill and Lorraine were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome in their home. The standard of accommodation was excellent and the view from our room stunning - Pacific rollers and expansive deserted sandy beaches with nesting dotterels and other sea birds. We loved the attention to detail, the beautiful flower on the bed, the home-made cakes and biscuits... More

Stayed here for 3 nights our first bed and breakfast stay booked by Paul from New Zealland in Depth and what a great start. The view from our room over the bay was just stunning and coupled with being really well looked after by Lorraine and Bill.Plenty to do either visiting the local bays or just walking around. Many thanks... More

We spent two nights at the Kuaotunu Bay lodge where we had a wonderful welcome and a lot of good advice about where to go and now to get there, plus the peaches Lorraine picked on her peach tree herself and left by our door ! Bill and Lorraine were adorable to us. The room we had is more like... More

Sadly our two days in December to the Coromandel Peninsula were spoilt by very wet weather. If it is nice though this is a lovely place to stay with super views overlooking the sea and a patio where you could enjoy the same. The room was not the most luxurious in our trip round B & B's in New Zealand... More

My wife and I recently spent a month travelling around parts of Australia and New Zealand and thought that to finish of our travels we would spend a few days in a relaxed and luxurious accommodation somewhere in the Coromandel. We spent ages searching through the various websites for what we thought would be the ideal place to finish our... More

Lorraine and Bill were perfect hosts during our 3 night stay in November 2014. This was the first home based stay for us during our 3 week tour and it set a very high standard for those which followed. We were made to feel very welcome and the wide local knowledge they shared with us meant that we were able... More

Our room was small, basic and with no facilities. Tea&coffee facilities were in the corridor. TV was a loundge with old fashioned furniture and switched off in the evening, hence off limits. The place advertises itself as a "lodge", promises "affordable luxury" for what is a simple and overpriced B&B. Not worth the $290 per night we paid. To be... More

Unfortunately this is the down side of Trip Advisor reviews. people who do not have the courage to discuss a concern with the host can anonymously post negative comments. We are sure the reviewer would not appreciate us commenting publicly on his reasons for writing a vexatious and untrue review. We believe it deserves to be treated with contempt. Judgement... More
