We have just had a delightful stay at Ferry Landing Lodge. Pam and Rob could not have been more friendly and helpful and it all felt very genuine. We learnt a lot about the area and Rob's walk is a must, he certainly knows his early New Zealand history - he even had us Kiwis spellbound! They are both obviously... More

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all this past weekend; it was a pleasure to provide you with bed and breakfast for a family reunion. Sunny weather, bush walks, hot springs, enjoyable meal times & happy laughter around the breakfast table, it was fun for us as well. Your mum @ 88 was/is amazing.! She now holds the title of oldest... More

A very comfortable stay in a charming location. Pam and Robert were excellent hosts, shared lots of local knowledge, and even leant us towels and spades for the beach. View from the Harbor View room is fabulous, and at sunrise we saw two parrots eating from one of the many fruit trees in the garden. The garden supplies delicious fruit... More

Thanks so much for your feedback and generous comments. So glad you got to enjoy some of the birds that frequent this area. We don't see these colourful parrots in the early morning, usually busy getting organised for breakfast! They are quite fascinating to watch though. So glad you enjoyed your short stay and the home preserves; we really enjoyed... More

What a fantastic experience Ferry Landing Lodge was! The owners Rob and Pam were such a delight! Knowledgeable and friendly - the scenery/location was to die for! The bathroom of the Bourganville Suite was HUGE! and the beds were super comfortable! You get access to a local nature walk/tour if you stay, which is free! Pam makes her own jam... More

Thanks so much for taking time out to send feedback, and such positive feedback too! We really enjoyed meeting you both and for Rob, the walk is his chance to share the history of the area to enthused visitors. A real gem - every aspect of our stay was perfect - wonderful hosts, Rob and Pam, a spotlessly clean apartment, idyllic location with easy ferry access to Whitianga a short stroll away, lovely walks and close to amazing beaches and spectacular scenery. Pam's breakfast, full of home made goodies, was delicious. Rob and Pam have the unique ability to... More

Thank you so much for taking time out to send your feedback to tripadvisor. After a holiday, there's always so much to do! It's always such a pleasure meeting folks like you. Our most enjoyable experiences have a 'connection' of sorts which does comes from the 'people we've met. Staying in a B&B usually provides this. 'Connecting' with others in... More

Rob and Pams bed and breakfast made an excellent final three nights in new zealand prior to our flights back to the uk. Don't go here if you like a cooked breakfast but the fruits , muesli and breads coupled with the great selection of jams and honey was quite enough. We stayed in the harbour view room which is... So glad you arrived back safely and the flight not too arduous. Thank you for you lovely comments and high 'score' which was reciprocated. We're so glad we got the chance to meet you both and we had fun chatting too. So glad you enjoyed the 'wigmore walk', its actually a 'warm up' for the days activities and Rob's chance... More

What can I say. One of the great locations to stay in NZ. Wonderful and informative hosts, we laughed for days. No reason at all not to fully recommend this place. Interestingly Pam keeps a file where she marks her guests out of 10, rather like a Trip Advisor in reverse, fortunately, we scored a 10, as did Ferry Landing.... More

I'm so glad we got 10/10!! Thank you for your lovely comments. Opening our home to people like yourselves, who arrived as strangers and left as friends, gives us tremendous satisfaction. Having the opportunity to share knowledge of our area / region / NZ, then having someone appreciate it enthusiastically is a real buzz. People, places, history; these are things... More

Wow, thanks guys for the compliments. We meet such lovely, interesting people like yourselves who share their exciting experiences with over breakfast so it makes for lots of happy memories. We enjoyed 2 delightful evenings at Ferry Landing Lodge, sharing the 2 BR, 1 bath "Bougainvillea Suite" with another couple. The accomodations were suitable for two couples but would work especially well for a couple with children. We had a lovely and private outdoor patio with splendid views of the harbor as well as access to the lodge's beautiful gardens... More

We stayed here for 4 nights, towards the end of an 8-week holiday in NZ. We could not have picked a better base in the area. Thank you so much for your lovely comments. The Bougainvillea suite was strangely quiet after you left. Sharing the beauty and knowledge of this area with 2 'full of life' 'retiree's' was easy, you were such great company.
