We recently stayed in the Sunflower Cottage, and for the first time in a long time I wanted to wake with the birds... just so I could hear them ! The surrounding gardens of the lodge are just beautiful and having the ferry so close is excellent as you can be enjoying your coffee in one of Whitianga's Cafes within... More

Thanks for your lovely comments. When someone else see and feels about a place the way we do, its synergy. So much natural beauty surrounds us in this secluded little peaceful paradise. The NZ birds that frequent the bush, the wood pigeons that 'use the drive' as a 'flight-path' , the abundant fruit waiting to be bottled, its a an... More

We stayed at Ferry Landing Lodge in November for 4 nights. The location is truly beautiful, as our room overlooks the river the township of Whitianga. It's a lovely quiet spot, private, and not overrun with tourists. We enjoyed the company of our hosts Rob and Pam, as we shared brekkie together and talked at length. Pams variety of home... More

It was lovely to meet you both, and we're so glad you joined us for the rocknroll class at the Mercury Bay Club in Whitianga. You were great participants, picking up a couple of group dances really well. Everyone enjoyed meeting you both. November is a lovely time of year before the population 'swells'. Even when summer is at its... More

Stunning location, loved the home made muesli, fruit and jams, great welcome and Rob and Pam's really helpful guidance about the history, life and what to do in the area. Enjoyed Shakespeare's Cliff, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach all in a day, following the sunshine!

Thanks Martin, for your lovely comments. So glad you enjoyed your very brief visit to the Coromandel and glad that we were able to add to the experience. And even though the weather wasn't perfect, you still managed to stay dry and squeeze a lot into the time you had. The weather this week has been 'perfect', isn't it always,... More

Ferry Landing Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. Everything is of a very high standard and the facilities and cleanliness can not be faulted. The breakfast was generous and delicious with homemade muesli, a wide selection of homemade jams and marmalade as well as beautiful fresh fruit. Pam and Rob are very helpful and knowledgable about the area and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves staying at Ferry Landing Lodge Bed and Breakfast. Great location and Rob and Pam made us really feel at home. Rob took us for a historical guided walk near their property which was fascinating. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our place with you and are so glad you enjoyed yourselves in spite of the colder weather. Feeling a little 'jet-lagged' after 5 months away, we couldn't have wished for nicer guests. You were wonderful, thank you once again. We look forward to seeing you again soon. More

Ferry Landing is in a lovely spot, surrounded by lots of beautiful walks and activities. The B&B is very comfortable and homely, exceptionally clean and well presented. The highlight of our stay though were hosts Pam & Rob who were simply wonderful, and made sure we saw all the best bits, and even leant us towels, bucket & spades for... More

Great location and superb hosts. We stayed 2 nights, both Rob and Pam made us feel very much at home from the minute we arrived. This is not a typical B&B; here you are part of the family, walrm and welcoming. By far one of the best home made organic breakfasts you will ever get! If you need to know... More

We spent our last 2 nights of a NZ holiday at Ferry Landing and were delighted that we did. We stayed in the Harbour View room which does have a great view, and took the ferry ($5 return) over to Whitianga for dinner on our first night. That was easy and fun and we had a good meal at Squids... More

Thanks so much for sending us such warm feedback and recommending us. You were such a delight to host and we did enjoy sharing the region's history with you both. And, as always, it is pleasing to hear that Rob's walk / talk was enjoyed so much. Sharing the interesting historic stories about this area is one of the 'highlights'... More

Pam and Rob are such wonderful hosts. The setting of the Lodge is perfect. We loved using the little ferry to ply over to Whitianga - a little treat each time you travelled to and from. We stayed with Pam & Rob for two nights in Feb & were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. It was the first of the many b & b's we stayed at during our three week trip to NZ & one we will never forget. We stayed in the Harbour Room which has a gorgeous view... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed your short stay with us. Really glad you enjoyed the walk, learning some local history, and the home-made goodies served at breakfast.
