We stayed in a deluxe courtyard room for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Towels were big and clean. Aircon was new and functional. The room however did seem small for Australian standards and the bathrooms had a very business hotel feel to it rather than the homeliness of a boutique hotel. The front desk was... More

Unfortunately this lovely hotel which describes itself as child free allows children visiting for lunch to use the facilities eg the pool and gardens. This is from 1 to 5. This means noise, splashing ect, all things we want to get away from. Our children are left at home. Such a shame and we will not be returning for this... More

We had a bit of a bad start at Windmills Break. When we walked into our room, it had an overwhelming stench. We really couldn't stand it, so went and told reception. To the owner's credit, he moved us into another room straight away (he later told us something had died in the roof), but I'm really surprised none of... More

A perfect location and a gorgeous sanctuary to relax and unwind after exploring the region. High quality facilities, great personalised service, a tasty breakfast included, pool and tennis court fabulous. Rooms are exceptional, separate media room and garden outlooks away from any traffic noise. Would highly recommend staying. So close to all great wineries and attractions.

My wife and I have stayed at Windmills Break a few times and always enjoyed the stay here. Unfortunately the change in policy which is not mentioned on their web site that allows kids who are eating in the restaurant to use the swimming pool reduces the romantic mood of the place and takes away the adult feeling of the... Love Love Love Windmills, we couldn't enjoy it more if we tried, The best thing ( if I had to pick) is the No children, Adults only policy. So lovely to be able to go on a mini break or longer getaway with your husband and not have to listen to someone's child/children crying or screaming early in the morning... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Windmills Estate. This place is only 5 mins from Dunsborough on Caves Road, it is very luxurious and peaceful, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. This is well recommended for a couple who would like a quiet, peaceful retreat with nobody around, at least that's what it felt like.

We stayed here for one night for a birthday celebration, really nice rooms and the bed was really comfortable, large balcony area. Heaps to do, nice pool, breakfast was included in the stay and was yummy. Staff were really friendly. Our rooms were in the main building and were a little noisy which was the only downside.

It is a lovely romantic getaway, with excellent staff and facilities, however lacking a little liveliness and ambiance. The restaurant is a little formal as well, although excellent food with interesting flavours.

We stayed at Windmills for one night recently and one of the only real downsides was not having booked longer. We knew as soon as we arrived that we would need much more time to enjoy everything that the place had to offer. The young girl that checked us in was very friendly and gave us plenty of information about... More
