The hotel looks great on the outside but it's rather basic on the inside. We had two adjoining sea view rooms, and the view from terraces was lovely. Very comfortable beds and plenty of storage. Bathroom could do with some upgrade but everything was functioning well. The only negative for us was that we have requested a cot, and while... More

This is a great spot to sink a few beers and enjoy the view, but unfortunately the food and service was not up to scratch. Both our steaks were over cooked and a massive disappointed considering the price. I had much better food from Dome which is situated just up the road so that would be my recommendation. Overall this... More

Nice hotel. Nice clean and spacious rooms. Great location. Do not expect luxury here - price is high. The rooms are around a cortyard. The soun isolation is very bad, so you are sure to hear all te activitioes from the other rooms. beware of seaguls when you eat. Do not leave your meal unattendant. Do expect some Quakkas to... More

Spent the weekend here, the location is great and if you enjoy a bit of night life in the evening it's good place to be. Found the girl on reception extremely helpful and friendly The room was clean and functional, considering that they rate is in excess of $300 a night, its not cheap for what I would consider a... The Hotel Rottnest, once nicknamed the "Quokka Arms" is now an up market pub, a far cry from the old pub. It is located on Thomsons Bay, with a view over to Fremantle, Perth and Scarborough. The hotel has a reasonable menu and wine list but is not cheap. Service is generally good, but we did experience a meal being... More

Just don't have much good to say about this place. We went for food during the day, decided on pizza, from a pretty limited menu, but were told there was a 1 hour wait for the pizza. No explanation as to why. We ordered a steak sandwich between us (we were after a snack), which came with chips. It was... More

We loved our time on Rottnest. The hotel was centrally located, clean and right on the beach. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. We would have liked more space in the fridge but we only stayed 2 nights. If we stayed longer we would have stayed in a serviced unit on the island but for 2 nights perfect.

We bought a package which included ferry travel, bicycle hire and an accommodation deal at the hotel. we ended up with a free upgrade to one of the garden rooms and it was basic but quite spacious. We had snapper and chips in the bar for dinner which was lovely as we watched the sun set. Rotto is an amazing... More

$10.50 for a pint of local beer,$20 for a pizza..Wouldn't like to have stay on island and pay these prices everyday.(but seem on par with the ferry and bus prices charged) Nicely done up pub with a great view and plenty of room. Good and friendly service. You may even get a visit from a local quokka or two.

I am a regular traveller to Rottnest and the food at the Rottnest hotel has been a bit lacklustre over the last year. So it was a lovely surprise to have a first class meal there tonight. Chicken tender on the inside and crispy outside, mushroom risotto cooked perfectly, with a side dish of broccolini, also not overcooked. The plates... More
