We bought a package which included ferry travel, bicycle hire and an accommodation deal at the hotel. we ended up with a free upgrade to one of the garden rooms and it was basic but quite spacious. We had snapper and chips in the bar for dinner which was lovely as we watched the sun set. Rotto is an amazing... More

$10.50 for a pint of local beer,$20 for a pizza..Wouldn't like to have stay on island and pay these prices everyday.(but seem on par with the ferry and bus prices charged) Nicely done up pub with a great view and plenty of room. Good and friendly service. You may even get a visit from a local quokka or two.

I am a regular traveller to Rottnest and the food at the Rottnest hotel has been a bit lacklustre over the last year. So it was a lovely surprise to have a first class meal there tonight. Chicken tender on the inside and crispy outside, mushroom risotto cooked perfectly, with a side dish of broccolini, also not overcooked. The plates... More

Meal options on Rotto are pretty narrow so ended up here twice during our weekend stay for lunch & dinner. The fish & chips were had by the majority of us over both meals & everyone agreed it was the best meal. The other meals had were also really good. Views from the outside tables are amazing & it's a... More

Didn't stay in the Hotel. It is now a boutique bar. In the good old days there was a good old fashioned pub that had a pool table and a juke box and an atmosphere that suited the Island. Now it looks like it is designed to cater for the yuppie and o.s. tourist market. Where has all the fun... More

After having read the reviews we were a bit concerned but it was ok. We had 2 interconnecting rooms that were quite spacious. The hotel doesn't have breakfast options so you need to find an alternative. The bistro is quite nice but only opens at 12.00. The reception only opens at 8.30 which is not handy if you arrive on... We visited Rottnest Island in our last week of a 7 month trip around Oz. We decided to end our trip on a high and booked in at Hotel Rottnest. It was certainly in the best location, close to the ferry, restaurants and contains the only pub/drinking hole on the island. The rooms were comfortable (especially if you splurge that... More

We saw previous reviews on trip advisor and knew the accomodation on rottnest was limited and the rooms weren't great. Therefore when we saw the picture of the best room at hotel rottnest the queen deluxe with sea views we thought it looked lovely and we couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately we were very wrong, we paid a lot of money... More

We stayed in a courtside room. The court is not much to speak of (nor was the room) but the location is fantastic. The room had all the basic facilities but for the price we expected a bit more. One major gripe was that there was nowhere to wash/hang swimwear which we thought would be obvious given it is an... More

For the price we paid, it should usually be a better hotel. However, owing to the fact that we are on an island with pretty basic lodging all around, I suppose we should have expected it. The rooms are functional. And small, and the bathroom itself was like a motel standard. Can't really complain much because I suppose they CAN... More
