So, the title of this review is right on point. If you take kids, you'll find yourself allowing them to frolic in beautiful sandy beaches that are reminiscent of the Caribbean or Cancun. Unspoiled coral and beautiful crashing waves with a view of the Indian Ocean... Just unbelievable! The bus is the perfect way to get on and off to... More

We have just returned from a very relaxing holiday from Rottnest. My husband, sons and I stayed at number 225. It was a very Cosy little cabin with all we needed. I was very surprised that the beds were very comfortable, had a flat screen TV and a great heater to keep us warm. Everyone on the island were friendly,... More

Just returned from rottnest with my father who is visiting from the uk for the first time. I insisted we go to rottnest as it's a must see in wa. We stayed 4 nights in unit 316. I was shocked and embarrassed at the poor standard of accommodation when we arrived. Our unit was dirty with dead cockroaches and an... More

Accommodation was simple and basic but gave us everything we needed for a chill out weekend. Toilet and shower are in the back yard which were clean and simple. Plenty of hot water and places to store the bikes. The heritage bungalow has canvas sides and therefore on a windy night can keep you awake with the . I suggest... More

The 3 bedroom unit (506) in Thomson Bay was a great location with a fabulous view. Obviously that is what you pay for, because if you were anywhere else in Aus or overseas, the cleanliness of the accommodation just would not cut it. For $50 a night per person I think a clean toilet, inside and out. Non greasy door... More

Rottnest is a small island surrounded by sandy beaches with some large inland lakes and much bush land. It can only be reached by passenger ferry and promotes itself as being safe and ideal for cycling and walking. In fact there is quite a lot of traffic on the island, everything from buses to builders lorries to quad bikes and... More

Thanks for your feedback following your stay on Rottnest Island. I note your comments about the bungalow that you stayed in which is heritage accommodation dating from the 1920's. We have 14 of these bungalows available to book and they are not to everyone's taste while some love them. We have recently upgraded our website and booking system to make... More

THE UNIT: I've given this a 3 star rating as I don't want to mislead with a rating that's too high. We stayed in a Premium Unit that sleeps 4. The unit was well equipped with sofas, dining table, t.v., full kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms and a gas BBQ. Rottnest offers basic beach holiday accommodation. We really loved our... More
