We stayed for three nights in one of the converted rail carriages. The setting is lovely and the way the carriages are spaced gives a real feeling of privacy. The carriage was more spacious than we expected. I think it would be a struggle to get more than one person on the sofa bed but two children would be fine.... More

this place is what you expect from a friendly family stay. there are some animals there the units are clean and tidy. there is a great ice creamery only 2 mins away and you are only a short trip to town. if you are after a comfortable place without stretching your budget then this is the place for you.

Nothing can begin to describe how awesome it was to stay in a Rail Carriage. They are cosy, well layed out and have everything you need. I felt like a was a kid again. The scenery is very pretty and it is very quiet. Hardly knew there were other people around (there were). Can't recommend this place enough!

We stayed in the rail carriages, so have no idea what the cottages are like. The carriages are surprisingly large - but don't believe suggestions that they can sleep more than 2 (unless the extra occupants are very small). The (very comfortable) double bed just fits in the width of the carriage and we found it easiest to move the... More

We loved our stay here. We were able to take our dog which was a real bonus. We were very close to Dunsborough and some winerys. The real fire was fantastic and although basic the cottages are clean and comfortable.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a rail carriage for an extended weekend, while we explored Dunsborough and the surrounding area. Firstly it was a really fun place to stay! On the property they keep animals which you can feed in the morning. We loved the alpacas, but the chickens also deserve a mention for their delicious (and free!) eggs.... More

Located in bushland is is a bit different. We stayed in the cottage which is like a good size house. Free eggs at 9.30am is a highlight and the kids loved feeding the animals. The old train carriages are very rustic, and will be a cool place for the teenagers to stay and get some space.

We stayed here with our 3 young children (4 & under) & a childless couple. It was such beautiful surroundings..gorgeous fenced Creek at the bottom of our cottage, a little Tyre swing under the large tree and a lovely fenced fireplace in the home. The room set up was good with a bedroom with a a joined bathroom and another... More

We stayed in a deluxe cottage over the weekend and for the price it was good value. The cottage was clean and in lovely farm surrounds, a little dated and worn in places - a new couch wouldn't go astray in the lounge for instance! :-) but for $130 a night it was suitable for our needs. The owners are... More

We are regulars, or at least we have been. For a while we did not have time. Couple of weeks ago we stayed again in one of the rail carriages. Ellen and Robert did an amazing job - everything is cleared up, it looks absolute amazing. The animals are great, fluffy....:). Our little dog Tiny thinks of it as a... More
