I loved our stay at the Priory! The old building is simply amazing and surrounded by landscaped gardens, it felt like stepping back in time! The family room was enormous and the shared bathroom was clean and we had it pretty much to ourselves. We had a great pub dinner and my daughter loved playing with lolly the pub dog

At the beginning of July 14 my sister and I visited The Priory Hotel and asked what choices she would have if we visited the restaurant that week. She was delighted to hear she would be able to pick from 4 items on the menu complete with sauces etc, as she is highly allergic to the onion family. I asked... More

The Priory Lodge is conveniently located close to the Irwin River and a walk into town takes about 10 minutes. Staff are friendly, drinks are cold and food is good. Rooms are basic, but the one we had did have an ensuite, some rooms had to use the common bathrooms.

An old converted nunnery ;) - food & booze a bit pricey - unless you stay on the specials. It pays to ask to see the room before handing over some dosh. Seems the bed, pillows & linen have improved somewhat - given others reviews. BTW: best coffee in town is at The Season Tree cafe (5 senses coffee).

Locals love it. Full of character, simple clean, in the wonderful Dongara and Irwin River region. Half the price of Margaret River, a quarter the crowd. Four hours north of Perth, 70 km from Geraldton. Worth the visit.

This former nunnery is the tops for the colonial-style architecture and period charm. It won't appeal to those who demand the more extreme degree of cosseting in terms of interior décor etc, although on the plus, the staff are very friendly and co-operative, and the breakfast shouldn't be missed for a good start to the day! One day someone will... More

We did not stay at this hotel, but only had lunch sitting out on the front verandah. The steak sandwich was delicious and the Wild Orchid unwooded Chardonnay was good. The manager was hanging coloured streamers for the upcoming Hawthorn - Freemantle grand final and was happy to have a friendly chat. Worth a stop.

The accommodation needs more than a lick of paint, but this place attracts interesting people and has a real sense of community. The pub adds colour, even if some of the locals have had a beer too much...

Old and shabby. The room had very high ceilings and was very cold with a small electric air con to warm it up. Could not see out of windows because they were too high and curtains closed. Needed the light on all the time. Had to check in through bar where they failed to tell us there was no breakfast.... More

The reverse aircon and tv didn't work but the room and facilities were quite good. Bed was comfortable. Enjoyed the outdoor bar area. The alfresco areas were well done with plenty of shade and seating.
