These are very basic stand-alone cottages, reminiscent of many infrequently used beach shacks. A bit dilapidated but quite sufficient for what we needed - a warm dry inexpensive place to lay our heads, from which we could set off early to see sunrise at Monkey Mia. (Accommodation prices at Monkey Mia were prohibitive, so we were very pleased to find... More

Wow I have just got back from an amazing holiday at the Shark bay cottages. And have already booked in for next year. Whilst reading such negative comments on here I had to respond. Yes the cottages are a bit run down but the cottages where very clean and tidy on arrival. No complaints from me. I love the feel... More

What a lovely place, these cottages may not be 5 star or even 4 star, so if your looking for that sort of accommodation its not for you, but honestly I was very happy in the accommodation it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, if you do have a problem you only need to ask and... If you read the reviews & check this place out before booking you should have realistic expectations of what you will find. It is BASIC and doesn't pretend to be otherwise, but we found it to be very clean, the bed was comfortable and Amanda (when we could find her) was most helpful & accommodating, such as when we reported... My partner and I booked our 2 night stay online via the visitors centre web site and payment of $270 was immediately taken. The cottages are old and demolition would be the recommended option. My grandmothers 1920's weatherboard house was 5 star in comparison. We had a cupboard full of pots and pans but no stove or cooktop to use... More

Shark Bay Cottages are small self-contained old-fashioned fibro beach shacks with either one or two bedrooms. We took a 2-bed one for storage as we booked for 8 nights. It's a very peaceful little place in a fishing/tourist village on the closer, cheaper side of Shark Bay - very good value compared with Monkey Mia 28 kms across the peninsula.... More

My family and I stayed here over Easter , colours of the cottages were inviting ! The location couldn't be better !! The old style of these cottages was perfect for us , a real holiday beach style feeling , plenty of room for our boat. We had stayed here years ago and they are now much improved, clean and... More

We stayed at these cottages over the first week of Easter holidays and had the best time, the staff were so helpful both at the cottages and on their charter boat Mac Attack. The cottages are typical beach cottage style oldish but are really tidy with good facilities. It is predominantly a family environment and their position on the foreshore... More

We stayed here supposed to be for 4 nights but actually only stayed 3 in April 2014. On first impression, they were a bit old, outdated but ok & roomy enough for a family of 6. We stayed in a 3 bed shack. We checked ourselves in as no one was in the office. It's cheap & the location is... More
