A mixture of accommodation here from back packer dorms and camping to hotel rooms. The hotel doesnt have any shops or in fact anything nearby which is its charm. Its great to be the only peope on the beach!! There is a small restaurant and bar onsite as well as the ususal ozzie BBQ areas and picnic benches. to get... More

I wasn't planning on staying at this hostel, as I had been sleeping in my car, but after arriving too late to see the dolphins and paying the entry fee, it actually worked out cheaper to stay for the night, rather than going back to Denham and returning in the morning. (I couldn't find a good place to camp out... More

very nice spot with shaded pool, good beach, well set up bar and restaurant; very helpful and friendly permanent (facility and cleaning) staff. dolphin feeding interesting and well done due to rules and informative personnel. However, also backpackers accomodations are over-priced, we had several bed-bugs (50 % off that night and a free drink was given) and some of the... More

We only spent 3 days at the lodge, on a private dorm. Pretty average room, with old sheets and urgent need for new curtains. Our room was between laundry and barbecue so quite noisy... But overall good experience, nothing differ us from guests from the so called 'resort'. Same facilities: restaurant, shops, dolphin interaction, etc. Tip: make sure you have... More

After having to pay the reserve fee which is not covered by a national park pass I was made happy again by the charming receptionist. With a smile I went to my clean dorm which I had for myself for the night. No stacking in dorms if not necessary. The resort itself was nice bit very typical. The dolphin feeding... More

4 of us stayed in a 4 bed dorm room at the Dolphin Lodge for a couple of nights and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms and facilities were for the reasonable price. The bar closes fairly early so you're able to get a good night's sleep and wake up nice and early to see the dolphins. A... More

An otherwise great holiday was made a touch crappy by the non smiling staff and the fact that they don't clean rooms or bathrooms while you stay. They apparently only clean before you arrive and after you leave. We paid $2500 for 10days for our accommodation for that I would expect a little bit of cleaning to be done. All... More

I got a fabulous backpacker deal here, so it was great value for money. Everything was very clean and all the staff very helpful. The main draw of the resort; the dolphins, are amazing, they come so close and some are definitely showing off for the crowd. If you take one of the cruises or hire a boat you are... More

Great hostel if you want peace and quiet (after 11pm when the bar turns music off) during the day. We didn't realise this place was about 30 mins from the main town with NO shops except the 1 on the compound which set its own prices. My advise if you do want to stay here is stock up on food... I stayed at Monkey Mia Dolphin Lodge Backpackers for 3 nights in November 2011 and was very impressed. The dormitories were clean and tidy, beds comfortable and 2 lovely warm blankets provided per bed. The dorms are mixed sex dorms set around a communal kitchen and garden area. Good stuff: beds, location (the dolphins, feeding sessions and boat tours were... More
