The owner Carla was lovely and spent time telling us of various tourist options and sights to see, nothing was too much trouble and she even kept an eye out for the general store owners when they came in and managed to organise for us to go in despite the store not being open to the public when we mentioned... My family (2 adults & 2 kids) have stayed at the Queen numerous times over the years and always look forward to returning. Carla provides the warmest of welcomes to her unique establishment which is full of charm and character. The family suite is a comfortable home away from home. We especially love sun-downers up on the balcony, soaking in... More

While the owners are nice, the hotel is long past its glory days. The rooms are at best, very basic and ours was decidedly grotty, with blood stains on the sheets and tears in the mattress. There are noisy portable air conditioners in each room and odd collections of tables and lamps. The included 'continental' breakfast includes a couple of... More

The Queen of the Murchison was a very affordable charming welcoming experience. What a jewel this unique B&B is with comfortable good sized clean bedrooms and bathrooms. There was such a lovely ambience about the place. Carla and her husband were very informative and welcoming there is so much to see and admire the guys took lots of pics of... More

We went to Cue and Queen of the Murchison on a whim, it was out of our way but the advertisement made it look unique. We were not disappointed. What a fun stay we had. We enjoyed Carla's hospitality, our room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom down the hall spacious and immaculate. We sat on the balcony in the... More

My daughter and I were heading up to Port Hedland and had planned to stay at Meekatharra for the night but were drawn to Cue. There was noting around and it seemed like the place was deserted. But then we met Carla. What are beautful lady. She gave us a lovely room made us feel so welcomed and my daughter... More

Hostess Carla made my wife and I very welcome with her down-to-earth happy disposition. Having a rural approach, she could not do enough for us - even spent much time chatting and passing on good information about the history of this culturally rich township. Being a converted former pub, the building has huge character. Accommodation was excellent, though wandering around... More

to when camel trains ruled the highways and gold kept the sparkle in this country watering hole. Carla runs a neat, clean historic hotel and has great local knowledge to direct you to local sights. We have an amazing story right here in our own backyard and the night sky just outside of town is to die for. Don't expect... More

We had a great time, went to Meeka races on Saturday and looked over a private gold mine on sunday. We told Carla all the ghost stories and she said she had... More

We stopped here for one night on our way north. It was a Saturday night and the town was dead - we were the only people staying in the hotel which gave the place an eerie feeling. The building itself used to be charming but is now just run down and badly maintained. It had been a warm day (mid-20s)... More
