Property is within walking distance to town centre - many quaint shops and cafes to visit. Jim Thorpe room very clean but a bit tired. Breakfast is lovely in the barn/store where there is plenty to see. Staff were very friendly.

I have stayed here twice now, once with my partner and then again recently with my two grown daughters. It is such a beautiful location with rambling gardens by the river. The accommodation is so unique - so much nicer than hotel rooms - personally decorated with knick knacks everywhere - the last time we actually stayed in Ford House... More

Elegant rooms that are beautifully furnished in a delightful setting on a spacious property.......great attention to detail in decor and design of rooms/suites. Our room was large and the bathroom and spar was excellent with a large kitchen/dining /living room that overlooked the gardens and the river.....Its peaceful and restful with the added bonus of the extra ordinary shopping emporium... Stayed recently,it was ok. Service could be improved, as could politeness. So much dust under the bed, possibly it had never been cleaned. No lock on the door. Shared bathroom. Noises could be heard form other rooms, doors and floors. Staff were very rude. Staff couldn't be bothered flipping an egg for me, rude when I asked any questions.

Just beautiful in and out.............character, antiques, beautiful furnishings and a magical timeless, healing quality to the place. The dining room is "magical",,,the grounds are very "Beatrix potter" with geese, ducks and beautiful gardens to explore and enjoy.

Favourite place to stay South of Perth. Peaceful, unique, a great laugh and fantastic shopping. Every year we love coming to Bridgetown for the Blues. The talent that visits this town over one weekend is amazing and staying at our favourite place just makes it the best experience we could have hoped for. This is our third year. We have... More

We stayed during the Blues festival. Ford House is neat, tidy and friendly, it's also quite which we love. Breakfast in the barn on the long table is a good place to get to know other guests and for Christmas shopping. Have rebooked for next year.

My sister and I spent one night in the homestead of Ford House a few days ago. What promised to be a trip of nostalgia (I knew the house when it was a private home) turned out to be a big disappointment. One bathroom with no separate toilet between four rooms and in need of a good scrub doesn't,t cut... More

Lovely exterior surroundings made up for rest of stay. Rooms are in desperate need of some TLC, look tired and in need of a good spring clean, but bed was comfortable. Lady in reception was rude & abrasive but we put this down to her perhaps having a bad day. Breakfast was served in the old barn at a communal... More

On a spontaneous whim to get away from it all we stumbled upon this wondrous place. As fate would have it there was a room available just for us, not just any room but the "Ballroom" with a colossal king size, four poster bed in a house built in the 1800's. The finishing touches to the décor have been carefully... More
