We paid $205 a night for bed-and-breakfast and were there for 3 nights. It's an unusual place and seems to be a favourite of middle-aged and older women who like to shop and befriend the owner. There are different parts of it, some old and some new, and we stayed in a new chalet type room: Delaportes, and can't comment... More

Such a beautiful place. For the age of the building, it's in great condition and the gardens are amazing. It almost feels like I'm staying at my nana's home. Would defo stay again. walking distance from a shop and food available after 7pm which is rear for a very small town. Food works down the road has a great selection... More

This is the second time we have stayed at Ford House and will certainly be back. The self contained units are luxurious, very clean and beautifully furnished. The host Jenny and her staff are welcoming and extremely accommodating. They made us feel very welcome and like we were their friends. We have stayed at the Cooks Cottage and the Honeymoon... More

We were invited down to Bridgetown for a brief break by clients of ours. They booked us into the inimitable 'Ford House'.......... where we took a pleasant journey back in time. We were lucky enough to stay in the 'Ballroom'; a splendid room housed in the original building that dates back to the late 1890s apparently. It definitely had a... More

Loved everything about our stay. A truly magnificent B&B with some self contained units. Beautifully appointed, clean, comfortable, great setting on the banks of the Blackwood river, friendly and obliging staff, a real home away from home. Their gift shop has to be seen to be believed! They have an amazing variety of stock from cottage crafts to English bone china and most things in... More

At check in I was asked to pay for the room in full despite paying a deposit online (I'm used to paying on departure just in case things aren't up to scratch). After checking in we were given allegedly the best room. Went to the room and discovered there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I went back to... More

This is one of the most relaxing weekends that we have had. We stayed in the original Ballroom with its old world charm and a wonderful view of azaleas in full bloom, through the French doors that led to the colourful cottage gardens. My husband and I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for a weekend in September. The room was lovely with fantastic artwork, roomy, clean and very tasteful bathroom with spa and a very comfortable bed with plenty of extra pillows and doonas if required. They weren't necessary though as every evening when we came home, the fire in the adjoining lounge... More
