Twas a dark and stormy day...no really it was, we pulled up on our bikes after having ridden in from Albany through some truly horrendous weather, and instead of camping we decided on a couple of hotel rooms instead. We ended up in the rooms across the road, and while they were a bit on the old side they were... More

Walked into the Dining Room of the Lounge Bar looking for a counter meal with my wife. At the time I thought it was pretty average for a Pub, basic furniture etc, but did have a nice view overlooking the River. We were going to have a couple of drinks and a counter meal for lunch. I grabbed a menu... More

Arrived in Augusta without a booking and decided to stay at the hotel. Booked a room with a great view, The rooms were very old and dated seriously needs refurbishing. Carpets were stained furniture, old the view can only be seen if you stand up to look out the window. Way over priced. Bed was comfortable sheets clean room functional... More

Whilst travelling the south west coast of Australia we desided to stop off in augusta for one night. We stayed in a River side queen room. The room was clean and tidy with an amazing view of the river. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Went to the hotels resturant for dinner, which also had amazing views of the... More

Booked ahead with a group of fourteen. This place is very dated but functions well enough. We all ordered dinner and everyone had theirs within about fifteen minutes. The food was very good and not to pricey. The view from the pub was excellent overlooking the river. Rooms were cheap at $90 for the Budget aware which was spot on... More

Only good for the view - we stayed in this hotel / pub for 2 nights and would have gladly moved on if we had had a choice. The bathroom was mouldy and the window (8 foot high) stuck open blowing a gale. The fan had never been cleaned form new and looked at least 10 years old - no... More

We had booked one night on our way through to Denmark and just needed somewhere to put our heads down. In all honesty we would have been better staying in the car. we had a family room and I just can't think of anything positive to say - the room smelled do disgusting and musty as if no air had... If you've just blazed a gourmet trail through the Margaret River region and are expecting more of the same then you may be disappointed. On the other hand if you come down to Augusta to relive your childhood sea side holidays where people swam in the river and caught herring near the entrance in the afternoon then this hotel is... Very old rooms, cold and musty. Clean enough but over priced given the state of the rooms. Had dinner at the pub, very average at best and quite pricey. Not much to choose from in Augusta but given our time again we would rather stay in Margaret River and drive down the coast than stay here again.
