The chalet had a true country feel. There was plenty if room for two families. The little "bedrooms" were a treat for the kids. The kids loved chopping the wood, the fireplace, the bonfire and roasting marshmallows. Great for kids to get out in nature and run in the bush! The pool table was a hit with the adults. Close... Needing to get my family out if the City, we found Sheoak... This was the best decision we made. It's big your ordinary hotel stay so expect some differences.. I wanted my kids to experience Deep South WA in winter. And Sheoak, Augusta didn't disappoint. The wood fire heated the whole chalet. We were comfortable and there were plenty of... More

Recently stayed at these Chalets. I was shocked to see a recent review regarding them. My review is greatly different. The Chalets are beautiful. Having stayed at many, I would definatley recommend them. The fireplace warmed the winter night easily. We had no trouble getting the fire alight and the whole chalet was cozy. There was an abundance of spare... More

My partner booked this stay for us with high expectations. We were going in winter, he loved the idea of a fireplace and a view and our own chalet! What a let down! First of all, the fire lighting gun provided was broken and didn't work, even though it had fuel inside. The back up matches provided were useless and... More

Stayed here with a few friends and had a really good and relaxed time. The chalets are off the main road in Augusta but not too far from the town. The chalets are self sufficient and has a nice kitchenette. each chalet has avfew rooms with ajoining showers. I particularly loved the sunrise and sunset. There is a supermarket a... More

The girls and I Spent 2 days there in May and Loved it. A Lovely fire for when the sun went down. Everything you need and close to town if you dont feel like cooking. Pack the Mozzie spray as you are near a lake. :-)

A big surprise here. The chalets this year are 21 years old, we don`t get reports from our guests stating that we have a "mosquito problem and don`t forget the mosi spray". In fact only 2 years ago we put fly doors to the entrance doorway on the chalets. On my own house beside the chalets we have no fly... More

Went to Augusta for my birthday this year and had an amazing stay at Sheoak Chalets. It was quiet and you are surrounded with greenery. Also got the chance to spot a group of kangaroos hopping around. Had a chance to stargaze as well. The facilities were large enough for our group and the owner let us stay a bit... More

We enjoyed our stay in a picture perfect hillside setting. Wale watching, walks in proximate national park. Being used to a sound waste separation system we apply at home we were somewhat disappointed all of our collected organic waste was destined for the local landfill site. It would have been great if the business adopted a good waste separation philosophy... More

Why this report was written truly amazed me. I am a full time scrap metal dealer and are fully conscious of recycling. We provide a very visible and signposted enclosure near the chalets where our guests are meant to drop all cans bottles and plastics, we then take these to recyclers where they are disposed of properly. Thanks Steve, had a great stay, loved the chalets so warm and cosy. Will definitely be back soon to bring the family. Thanks for showing me around, beautiful views and so peaceful, very relaxing. Off to the jetty to catch some whiting - thanks for the fishing tips.

Thanks Steve, what a great reception! Arrived late on Sunday night to be welcomed by Steve and his lovely wife Anita, Steve made sure we had everything we needed right down to lighting the fire. Thoroughly recommend for any getaway large group or just 2. Elaine
